REACTING to the demise of Fred Agbaje, one of Nigeria’s fiery human rights lawyer and activist who bid the world goodbye today Saturday, November 26 in the ER Section of a London Hospital, Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, a former President of Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria, PMAN and a recipient of Member Federal Republic, Nigeria’s national award reflected on few wrong moves made by the deceased when he voluntarily engaged himself with the myriads of crises facing the music union of Africa’s most populous black nation.
In a terse statement few minutes ago, this multiple award-wining renowned flutist and Chairman Anti Counterfeiting Coalition of Nigeria (ACC) stated unedited: “Well my condolences to the family. I knew Fred Agbaje well but he was one of the big problems in PMAN because Charly Boy sacked him as PMAN legal adviser he fought very dirty and backed Dele Abiodun. He made me spend multi-millions in useless court cases because he as the opponent lawyer made money on all those cases.”
Meanwhile Wunmi Tunde-Obe, a famous Nigerian funky musician described Agbaje as a pleasant man, “I am full of Shock and sadness. Met him a couple of times and he was a very pleasant man. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
