NIGERIA\nIMMIGRATION SERVICE, NIS, IS IN FULL STEAM. NOT LIVING ANYTHING TO\nCHANCES TO DEPORT ANY FOREIGNER RESIDENT IN NIGERIA UNLAWFULLY. <\/strong>NIS\nexplained that foreigners living in Nigeria illegally will soon be\nhit by deportation following a new policy planned by the country\u2019s\nimmigration service which includes granting residence permit to those\nfrom other countries. The\nwarning was handed by the comptroller general of the NIS, Muhammad\nBabban Dede, who said that the policy would commence in the next\nthree months. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According\nto him, any of these foreigners who failed to possess his residence\npermit before the expiration of the stipulated time would be\ndeported. Leadership\nreports that Babban Dede spoke during the graduation of 396\nimmigration officers who undertook the 44th superintendent basic\ncourse at Kano immigration training school. Going by Babban Dede, the\npolicy follows the escalating level of insecurity in the country. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nimmigration boss said his organisation would continue to protect the\nsovereignty of the country adding that the NIS had taken steps to\nmake it safe for businesses to thrive in the country. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nalso said the NIS had made efforts to protect the nation\u2019s borders\nand that the organisation had trained 611 officers in this regard\nwhile another 1000 are being prepared. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
