The African\nkitchen located on 505 Riverside Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401 is fast\nbecoming a hot-menu spot where anyone with appetite for African meals\nare provided dishes as Samosa, Fufu, Jollof Rice and various other\nassorted food.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAIJA\nSTANDARD Newspaper<\/em> investigation showed that the prices of the\nfood are cheap, even as the meals are mouthful, healthy and\nstomach-full. Unassuming and\nhumbly-spoken Ahmed, the Chef and face behind the success of this\nkitchen would prefer that you taste the meal and rate the kitchen so\nyou may readily agree why this African restaurant is number one in\nVermont. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We witnessed\ncommunities from African-American, African, Hispanic, Canadian and\nWhite American gracing this African restaurant ordering for various\nquantities of food as they eulogized the outstanding success of\nKismayo kitchen. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahmed during\nan interview said, \u201cWe\nhave multicultural food,” said Omar, a 2006 graduate of\nBurlington High School. You can come here and have Italian food \u2014\npasta with sauce \u2014 or Somali chicken stew <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSomali\ndishes such as chicken and vegetables with rice or pasta are flavored\nwith cilantro, basil, cumin and cardamom. Samosas, filled with ground\nbeef and diced red onion, are garlicky and peppery. Caesar salad is\nserved with optional stir-fried chicken on the side, a method that\nkeeps the lettuce cool and crunchy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nOmar,\nwho is also a personal trainer, said he will accommodate diners with\nspecial diets. “If you want fresh, clean food, I will make it\nfor you right away,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe\nmenu at Kismayo Kitchen includes sandwiches, salads and panini.\nCustomers order at the counter, and food is delivered to their table;\nmeals are available to go, as well. The restaurant is open daily from\n11 a.m. to 8 p.m<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
