THEY\nARE THREE NIGERIAN LADIES, NOTORIOUS IN UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (DUBAI)\nIN LIVING LARGE ON CRIMINAL PROCEEDS. THEY ARE NIGERIAN WOMEN ARMED\nROBBERS WHO LURE UNSUSPECTING MEN INTO FAKE RELATIONSHIP ON DATING\nSITES. THEY ARE A GANG OF THREE. The ladies had been found to have\nstolen the sum of Dh57,000 (N5.6m or $15,517.59). <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\ngang of three Nigerian women are facing trial in Dubai, United Arab\nEmirates for allegedly luring an Iraqi man to their apartment,\nbeating him up and stealing Dh57,000 (N5.6m or $15,517.59). The\nNigerian women, aged 30, 33 and 34, were charged with robbery. A\nverdict is expected later this month.The\n45-year-old Iraqi victim arrived in Dubai in January of this year and\ngot to know a woman, who he thought was a Swedish student, through a\ndating app. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After\nthey spoke on the phone, they agreed to meet at her apartment in Al\nQuoz, but when the victim arrived he was met by a group of African\nwomen who attacked him. \u201cThe\napartment door opened and five African women dragged me inside and\nphysically abused me,\u201d the Iraqi man told the court in Dubai. The\nNigerian women slapped him and asked for money. He gave them Dh1,600\nto let him go, but they searched his pockets and found Dh55,975.\n\u201cThey were so happy when they found this amount of cash that they\nstopped searching me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\nwas terrified that they would kill me so I pretended to have\nbreathing problems so they would let me go,\u201d he added.\nThe\ndefendants allowed him to leave but he alerted the building\u2019s\nsecurity and kept waiting in front of the apartment. When Dubai\nPolice arrived, the defendants jumped out of the window to escape.\nAn\nEmirati police officer, who responded to the call, said: \u201cThe women\nescaped and we chased them on foot. We arrested three of them and the\nvictim identified them before taking them to Bur Dubai police\nstation.\u201d Meanwhile,\nDubai Public Prosecution charged the Iraqi victim with soliciting\nprostitution. He was fined Dh5,000 and deported. \n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
