WONDERS\nWILL NEVER SIEZE FROM HAPPENING IN NIGERIA. The stunning activity of\na fake Surgeon in Yola, a major location in Adamawa state threw the\nresidents into palpable shock when news hit the town of the arrest of\none Ibrahim Mustapha, a notorious make-believe ‘medical doctor’ who\ncarries stethoscope around his neck as the principal medical officer\nof Cottage hospital, Fufore. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surprisingly,\nhe had performed over 500 surgical operations causing the death of 46\npeople in the state, even without having any qualified medical\ncertificate. Mustapha, the fake doctor has been arrested by the\nDepartment of State Services (DSS) for killing patients in the cause\nof his fake practice. Record showed he had performed over 500\nsurgical operations causing the death of about 46 patients from\nJanuary to May 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parading\nthe fake doctor in Yola recently, DSS Director in the state, Bola\nOlori, said the DSS has, “effected the arrest of one Ibrahim\nMustapha, who operated illegally as a PMO in Fufore Cottage hospital,\nFufore local government area of Adamawa state”. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olori\nsaid a preliminary investigation revealed that Mustapha holds\nNational Board of Technical Education (NBTE) certificate, an\nequivalent of Senior Secondary School certificate or High School. The\nfake surgeon confessed to forging MBBS credentials according to the\nDSS but denied causing the death of any patient throughout his career\nuntil his arrest. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes,\nI’ve forged the documents as stated by the DSS boss and also done\nboth major and minor surgical operations, including caesarian\nsection, altogether more than 500 surgeries without causing the death\nof any of my patients as claimed.”\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nthe DSS said, “He perfected the illicit act in Gombe where he\nworked as a ward attendant in several clinics. He was aided by a\npracticing doctor who gave him sample copies of his NECO results,\nMBBS of Bayero University Kano, NYSC Discharge certificate and\nMedical and Dental Council if Nigeria, annual registration license.\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The\nsuspect subsequently gained employment into the Adamawa state\nHospital Management Board in October 2015 as a doctor and rose to the\npost of PMO, serving at both the Cottage hospital Mayo-Belwa and\nFufore.” <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
