STIRRING\nTHE HORNEST NET, THE GENERAL OVERSEER OF MOUNTAIN OF FIRE AND\nMIRACLES MINISTRIES, DR. DANIEL OLUKOYA said December 25 is not the\nbirthday of Jesus Christ. He says his church does not celebrate\nChristmas because it is unbiblical.<\/strong>Speaking\nat the Wednesday Manner Water Service which coincided with the 2019\nat the Church\u2019s Headquarters in Lagos, Olukoya confesses that no\nbook in the bible recorded the word \u2018 Christmas\u2019 or that Jesus\nwas born on December 25.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/em>If\nyou really study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, there is no\nword like Christmas. The bible only recorded that the Shepherds were\ntaking care of their flocks during a very cold season when they\nsighted the star that announced the birth of Jesus Christ. This cold\nperiod could be around April or May,\u2019\u2019<\/em>\n<\/em>Olukoya\nsaid.\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According\nto him, December 25 is a date originally set aside by the ancient\nRomans for Mars festival by the worshippers of the sun. Olukoya said\nthat the birth of Christ was subsequently co-opted into the same date\nto give the Mars festival more popularity and then renamed\n\u2018Christmas\u2019.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nwarned the modern Christians to stop promoting such unbiblical\ncelebration. According to him, the MFM church has decided to\nhenceforth engage members in various spiritual activities during such\nperiods and other public holidays to discourage them from partaking\nin such unscriptural celebration.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
