NIGERIA’S PRESIDENT, Muhammadu Buhari has joined list of sympathizers consoling the bereaved family of Fred Agbaje, an erudite human rights lawyer who died of Cardiogenic-Shock in the Emergency Room of a London Hospital on Saturday. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In a press statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, President Buhari commiserates with the Agbaje family, friends and professional colleagues when he states: \u201cI commiserates with the family, friends and professional <\/span>colleagues of erudite human rights lawyer, Fred Agbaje, who passed on Saturday. I received the news of the sad development with shock, described the constitutional lawyer as \u201can ardent advocate against corruption and canvasser for internal democracy in political parties, who also believed strongly in the sanctity of the ballot box.\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

President Buhari commends the fearlessness of the late lawyer in calling for the cleansing of bad eggs in the\n judiciary and standing up for his beliefs as he fought for the rights of the less-privileged in the society.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\nHe notes that the country has lost a principled man as he enjoins Agbaje\u2019s admirers to keep the flag flying.\n The President prays that God Almighty consoles the Agbaje family and all those who mourned the deceased\n legal practitioner.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
