FORMER PRIMETIME ANCHOR and host on Cables News Network, CNN, DON LEMON has confirmed that his former employer will be paying him a whooping sum of $24.5 million, which would be the full complete pay from his final contract which extended 3.5 years from his ousting. Lemon has finally agreed a deal to separate with the network.
Sources exclusively tell TheWrap that Lemon, 57, has agreed a separation deal with CNN for approximately.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Lemon got in the crosshairs with CNN brass when he moved from his popular primetime show to the mornings, alongside hosts Caitlin Collins and Poppy Harlow. He startled his female colleagues with his implication that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, at age 51, was past her prime.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Things got sour for Lemon when he said, \u201cNikki Haley isn\u2019t in her prime, sorry,\u201d Lemon explained why he was \u201cuncomfortable\u201d with the age discussion. \u201cWhen a woman is considered to be in her prime- in her 20s, 30s and maybe her 40s.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The network dismissed Lemon after his show, in what he described as a termination. \u201cIt is clear that there are some larger issues at play,\u201d Lemon wrote on social media.
He said that he was \u201cstunned\u201d by the news and was informed by his agent. \u201cI would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,\u201d he said, while under the tenure of former embattled CNN chief Chris Licht, who was fired months later.
\u201cCNN, the strategy and their content and the direction they wanted to go in, I was not a part of that,\u201d Lemon later said in a conversation with Kara Swisher.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cThey did not want me to be a part of that, and I think that has, from what has played out publicly as it relates to CNN, as it relates to management, and what they\u2019re doing now, I think that it\u2019s obvious that they didn\u2019t want me to be a part of that.\u201d
Now Lemon is preparing to launch a new show on Elon Musk\u2019s X platform in the next few weeks. The new program, \u201cThe Don Lemon Show,\u201d will allow him to be \u201cbigger, bolder, freer,\u201d Lemon he said in a posting.
The show \u201cwill be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it, streaming on the platforms where conversations are happening\u2026.This is just the beginning so stay tuned.\u201d
Reps for CNN and Lemon didn\u2019t immediately get back to us. His attorney, Bryan Freedman, did not comment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
