SHE was popular in Atlanta, as a famous Attorney and a City Police officer. SHELITHA ROBERTSON’s flourishing career came to a halt recently, after law enforcement agents’ investigation revealed that ‘the-once-celebrated woman’ had allegedly stolen the sum of $5million (Five Million Dollars) under the guise of COVID Relief Paycheck Protection Program loans.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


She used to have a 10-carat diamond ring and a Rolls-Royce. Now Shelitha Robertson, an Atlanta lawyer and business owner once employed by the city as a police officer and attorney, is \u201cdead broke\u201d and facing prison.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Robertson was sentenced Friday to serve seven years and three months behind bars after she and another lawyer fraudulently obtained almost $15 million in Paycheck Protection Program funds. She cried upon hearing the sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Steven D. Grimberg, as many of her family members and friends sat behind her in court.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cI\u2019m dead broke,\u201d Robertson had said in court hours earlier while being questioned about her assets. \u201cMy business is gone. My (law) license is gone. My assets are gone. The only thing I have left is my family and my faith in God.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
