And it comes out of the top, so it filters in and out. When it is working it shows that the air filter took out over 99% of viruses in the air and it is effective. She\u2019s a real rock star\u201d-State Senator Matt Lesser<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><br>*BY SANDY ABRAHAM\/WASHINGTON DC Correspondent, NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>AT 12-YEARS-OLD in the Fifth Grade when many of her age mates are still struggling in their academics, ENIOLA SHOKUNBI, a Nigerian girl has done the wonders in her stunning medical research which culminated in her manufacture of a project, first of its kind by any black or nay person or community in America which cures 90 percent of COVID-19 and cold in any classroom.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Shokunbi said she wants to be president of the United States, but first she\u2019s making an impact on her local community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>\u201cEniola is fabulous,\u201d State Senator Matt Lesser said. \u201cShe wows every room she\u2019s in front of. Students also worked closely with scientists and the University of Connecticut.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>It cost $60 to make and consists of a box fan, four furnace filters, duct tape and cardboard. It was tested and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in North Carolina for its efficiency.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>\u201cIt showed that the air filter took out over 99% of viruses in the air,\u201d Shokunbi said. \u201cAnd that it was effective.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>On Tuesday, Shokunbi was in the room as the State Bond Commission unanimous approved $11.5 million for the construction and installation of the air filter system for other schools in the state.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>The funding will go to UConn as part of the school\u2019s Supplemental Air Filtration for Education Program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>\u201cA lot of people, they don\u2019t realize sometimes, that they only thing standing between them and getting sick is science,\u201d Shokunbi said. \u201cIf we\u2019re not investing in that, then we\u2019re not investing the kids\u2019 future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>She said her goal is to get the filters into every classroom in America.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>\u201cI want them to go to school knowing that they\u2019re safe, that they\u2019re health, that they can learn,\u201d Shokunbi said. \u201cI really love explaining to people and seeing their faces, seeing them realize that this could change so many lives.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>DONATE TO HELP BUILD A SPECIAL APPS FOR JOURNALISTS AGAINST LIVER ELEVATION &amp; KIDNEY FAILURE:<br>CERTAINLY, Good journalism costs a lot of money.
