For Intelligence analysts, using Starlink space phone is frustrating easy detection of terrorists’ movement in Nigeria. It is believed that if you are using Starlink, you cannot be traced because Starlink is not registered in Nigeria.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you are using Starlink, we cannot trace it because Starlink is not registered in Nigeria. It\u2019s in space. Under the cover of darkness on Wednesday, December 24th<\/sup>, 2025, at 23:00hours GMT, having ascertained the \u2018sky was clear\u2019, Turji disguised and went through the bush with some of his militants on bikes into Niger. From Niger, his horde of bikes entered Wasagu Forest in Kebbi State. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Quickly huts were erected, hiding places were fully secured in a cave in this forest for the comfort of Turji. And some of his militants had to bring in livestock to graze in the entirety of that forest to distract away the eyes of innocent farmers who may want to cultivate their farmlands. \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Spy Gulfstream GLF5 ISR N529RL still maintained a steady position far in the airspace of Sokoto State overseeing a pending attack against terrorists on the platform of unmanned MQ-9 Reaper fighter jet.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

48 hours after, on Friday, December 26, 2025, between 00:12hours and 01:30 hours, precision strikes were launched from maritime platforms domiciled in the Gulf of Guinea, after extensive intelligence gathering, operational planning, and reconnaissance. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 16 GPS-guided precision munitions were deployed using the same MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial platforms, successfully neutralising the targeted ISIS elements attempting to penetrate Nigeria from the Sahel corridor.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

During the operation, debris from expended munitions fell in Jabo, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, and in Offa, Kwara State, near the premises of a hotel. No civilian casualties were recorded in either location, and relevant authorities promptly secured the affected areas.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In a statement issued by Mohammed Idris, fnipr, Nigeria\u2019s Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, he said: \u201cThe Federal Government of Nigeria, in close coordination with the Government of the United States of America, has successfully conducted precision strike operations against two major Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves located within the Bauni forest axis of Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Intelligence confirmed that these locations were being used as assembly and staging grounds by foreign ISIS elements infiltrating Nigeria from the Sahel region, in collaboration with local affiliates, to plan and execute large-scale terrorist attacks within Nigerian territory.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Before moving to Kebbi, while then in Zamfara State, this most wanted terrorist engaged fully in extortion, illegal taxation of local populations, farmers, and fishermen in areas his group controlled.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe can tell you that Turji Bello procured sophisticated ammunitions from Libya through the funds received directly from bandits\u2019 mules with direct contacts to Abdurrahaman Ado Musa and Salihu Yusuf Adamu, two of the six Nigerians convicted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for funneling an estimated $782,000 to Boko Haram from Dubai using informal financial systems.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOther sources of funds come from Yusuf Ghazali and Muhammad Sani.\u00a0 These individuals were earlier named among a group of cartels sanctioned for alleged terrorism financing by the Federal Government of Nigeria. \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
