AS\u00a0<\/strong>2015 draws closer, battle for Aso Rock has increased in speed by several political big-wigs. Scion of Nigeria\u2019s First Republic Prime Minister, Dr. Abdul Jhalil Tafawa Balewa has thrown his \u2018hat in the ring\u2019 of the nation\u2019s political circle by declaring his intention to contest the 2015 Presidential Election under the auspice of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) being Nigeria\u2019s ruling party.\u00a0Abdul made this declaration recently in a news briefing in Africa\u2019s most populous nation economic hub, Lagos. He said he would contest the 2015 presidential election on the platform of PDP and condemned plot by the leadership of the party to demoralize other presidential aspirants.He said: \u201cI not intimidated by the decision of the PDP governors and the party to support the second term aspiration of President Goodluck Jonathan\u201d.<\/p>\n

Laments Nigeria\u2019s Democracy..<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abdul expressed his anger in the country\u2019s polity by saying \u201cWhat type of democracy do we have or are we practicing in Nigeria? Is the PDP a communist party? Where is the place of internal democracy?\u201d\u00a0Without mincing words, he expressed his regrets that when he said the greater majority of Nigerians had been yearning for a leadership capable of fulfilling their high expectations and aspirations.<\/p>\n

Talking about leadership<\/strong>\u00a0His words: \u201cWhat Nigerians need and where they want the country to be in future are paramount issues. We need to put our ideas before the people and allow them to decide\u201d.<\/p>\n

Promises a better Nigeria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Promising to make Nigeria an industrialized country, Balewa said his administration would ensure zero unemployment, better education, maximum security and increased power supply, since \u201cNigeria needs to move from Third World to First world\u201d.\u00a0He said he relies fully on the support of Nigerians during the election, when he explained that \u201cGood Nigerians would support me fully.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
