Samuel, Tokunbor Oluwaleye, Kelvin Tuduo, Ekpen, Edema Eburajolor; Otos Lemun and Dolor Em<\/strong><strong>manuel\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BY CLEM OHANACHIOR\/CRIME REPORTER, DELTA STATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/nigeriastandardnewspaper.com\/a\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Festus-Keyamo-795x528-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1685\" src=\"http:\/\/nigeriastandardnewspaper.com\/ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Festus-Keyamo-795x528-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Festus-Keyamo-795x528\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>CERTAINLY, <\/strong>Government Ekpemupolo (alias\u00a0<em>Tompolo<\/em>) is a lawless militant-warlord in Nigeria, saved by the Amnesty of late Shehu Musa Yar\u2019Adua administration, fraternizes with various government leaders in \u2018rosy-positions\u2019 and now sees himself as \u2018above-the-law\u2019, with an air of \u2018no-one-can-do-me-anything\u2019 wherever he goes to inflict fear, intimidation, attacks-even criminality on innocent Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ever since Nigeria\u2019s President, Goodluck Jonathan cancelled his earlier scheduled EPZ Unveiling in Delta State over threat made by Tompolo and the alarm raised by Festus Keyamo, Lagos fiery lawyer over the \u2018in-equality, insecurity and dangers pose\u2019 by the presidency for any support to Tompolo, the former militant-contractor had been on \u2018fire\u2019, wondering why his own decision was not allegedly upheld by Aso Rock.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To take his own pounds-of-flesh, <strong><em>Naija Standard<\/em><\/strong> gathered Tompolo had stationed over 10 boats loaded with dangerously-looking armed men, holding AK47 guns to double-cross some innocent undergrads and journalists (7 in numbers) that had gone earlier to\u00a0Ogidigben\u00a0in Delta State on\u00a0Sunday, November 16, 2014,\u00a0to witness and get first-hand coverage of the crises leading to the cancellation of the commissioning of the EPZ Project by President Jonathan two days earlier. Recall that Keyamo raised an alarm last week about the threat by\u00a0Tompolo\u00a0in respect of the commissioning of the project by the President. True to the alarm, the President called off the commissioning because of the threat by\u00a0Tompolo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Investigation by <strong><em>Naija Standard<\/em><\/strong> showed that on their way from\u00a0Ogidigben\u00a0after their assignments, the seven victims and the journalists were stopped in their boats and blocked by more than ten other boats loaded with fierce-looking and armed hooligans around an area called\u00a0Tebujo, which is also near an area called\u00a0Opuraja.\u00a0The seven victims and the journalists were then evacuated from their boat into one of the boats of the hooligans. Along the line,\u00a0Tompolo\u00a0called and spoke with one of the journalists and he confirmed that he sent the hooligans to accost them and that they should \u201cco-operate\u201d with his boys.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Victims, Journalists Beaten, nearly killed in Tompolo House<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Naija<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>Standard<\/em><\/strong> can tell you that these seven victims and the journalists were then taken to\u00a0Tompolo\u2019s\u00a0house in\u00a0Opuraja\u00a0where they were beaten to pulp by\u00a0Tompolo\u2019s\u00a0boys. The cameras of the journalists were all seized and the memory cards were removed so that they could not show what they went to cover. Unknown to them however, the journalists all had back-ups of their materials in their external hard disks which\u00a0Tompolo\u2019s\u00a0boys did not see and seize.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was a near-death experience for all the victims and in particular for\u00a0Mr. Tokunbor Oluwaleye\u00a0who is suffering from internal bleeding and is in a critical condition till today. It took the intervention of Naval and Army personnel in the area for the victims and journalists to be rescued from the hands of\u00a0Tompolo\u2019s\u00a0boys later that evening.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keyamo demands Tompolo\u2019s Arrest\/Prosecution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the words of Keyamo: \u201cSirs, your failure to simply carry out your statutory duties of arrest, investigation and prosecution of\u00a0<em>Tompolo<\/em>\u00a0for his various acts of lawlessness is now a national and an international embarrassment to the Government of President Goodluck Jonathan. It is disgusting to all men of normal minds to see a private citizen strutting all over the place, threatening lives, abducting citizens, (perhaps silently killing voiceless persons) and you hide your heads in the sand. Yet, he moves about with nearly a whole platoon of Army and security personnel that even a serving Governor cannot get. What is going on?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecall that I wrote a complaint of the open threat to my life by the same individual nearly two weeks ago, yet you have not even done as little as write me an acknowledgment letter. It is such a shame. This unhealthy romance between government officials in high places and this individual raises strong suspicion over, perhaps, some criminal dalliance in relation to shady deals. I am confident that time will tell us better. There is no better way to see this. Mr. Eyengho B. Samuel 2.) Tokunbor Oluwaleye 3.) \u00a0Kelvin Tuduo 4.) Ekpen 5.) Edema Eburajolor 6.) Otos Lemun and 7.) Dolor Emmanuel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The facts are that the aforementioned boys (hereinafter referred to as \u201cthe seven victims\u201d), together with some journalists from different media houses went to\u00a0<strong>Ogidingben<\/strong>\u00a0in Delta State on\u00a0<strong>Sunday, November 16, 2014,<\/strong>\u00a0to get first-hand coverage of the crises leading to the cancellation of the commissioning of the EPZ Project by President Jonathan two days earlier. Recall that I raised an alarm last week about the threat by<strong><em>\u00a0Tompolo<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in respect of the commissioning of the project by the President. True to the alarm, the President called off the commissioning because of the threat by\u00a0<strong><em>Tompolo.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When leaving the venue, the journalists were joined on the boat by the seven victims, three of whom were given a free ride, one was a boat driver and three were from the company that owns the boat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On their way from\u00a0<strong>Ogidingben\u00a0<\/strong>after their assignments, the seven victims and the journalists were stopped in their boats and blocked by more than ten other boats loaded with fierce-looking and armed hooligans around an area called\u00a0<strong>Tebujo,<\/strong>which is also near an area called\u00a0<strong>Opuraja.<\/strong>\u00a0The seven victims and the journalists were then evacuated from their boat into one of the boats of the hooligans.
