In a similar way, <i>Reporters Beyond Borders<\/i>, a United States based media-pressure group rose from its Extra-Ordinary Meeting yesterday by appointing same Nigerian journalist to showcase his wealth of investigative reportage experience in its affairs.  <\/span><\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In NAPA, Steven Franklin, President said \u201cIt is high time governance in Nigeria-mostly the  manner the Nigerian people are governed is brought under global media. We are looking at a country that will take her rightful place in leadership in African continent in a most-transparent leadership where the Nigerian freedom of expression, association and movement are well protected. For this reason, having taken out time to study the editorial career of George Elijah Otumu, a well-traveled journalist, an author of 'Nigeria 2015 Elections' famous Amazon book written in English, Spanish, French, Arabic; and being an investigative reporter with Cables News Network (CNN iReport), our Board of Directors thereby appoint him Vice-President, NAPA in an extra-ordinary meeting in Austin, Texas in the next four years. He is to join other executives of NAPA in keeping to our mission statement.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\n <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Otumu, a serial award-wining Nigerian journalist, an author, a <i>CNN iReporter<\/i> for North America and Editor-In-Chief, <i>Naija Standard Newspaper Inc USA <\/i>was so elated to have received this honor and was full of words of appreciation to NAPA. <\/span><\/span>\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Among the appointees for <i>Reporters Beyond Borders<\/i>, which held its monthly meetings in Arlington, Texas yesterday was Otumu, regarded by this US media-pressure group as a passionate, investigative journalist whose belief is ensuring every Nigerians are allowed access to basic amenities of life, rights of expression, movement and association, having practiced journalism successfully in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Europe and United States of America.
