END of the Road seems more nearer for Ibrahim Saminu Turaki, former Governor of Jigawa State as his past looting of N36 Billion, a princely sum belonging to the state which led to his earlier prosecution has resurfaced, as Nigeria’s financial agency unit, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) re-emphasized that till now Turaki is still a wanted man and a fugitive, running away from the long arms of the law.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

EFCC made it clear on their website (Wanted section) that they have made every attempts at reaching Turaki so that he could face trial, but the ex-governor has not been seen to officially appear in court for fear of arrest. His whereabouts seems not known. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Regrettably, all attempts made to have him physically served Court papers for appearance failed, as Turaki could not be found in his last house address at: <\/span><\/span><\/span>No. 16 Dennis Osadebey Street, Asokoro, Abuja.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sounding philosophical in its press statement, Nigeria’s anti-graft Commission promise to smoke Turaki out no matter where he is holed up, as he could only run, but cannot hide from the eagle eyes of EFCC, as security operatives are presently on his trail more closely. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

EFCC press statement read: \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>The public is hereby notified that <\/span><\/span><\/span>IBRAHIM SAMINU TURAKI<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, the former governor of Jigawa state, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, stealing, money laundering and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of N36 Billion (Thirty Six Billion Naira Only).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The former governor has continuously evaded appearance in court. At the last sitting on November 13, 2014, he was absent, despite a subsisting warrant for his arrest. Saminu Turaki is 50years. He speaks Hausa and English fluently. His last known address is No. 16 Dennis Osadebey Street, Asokoro, Abuja.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
