FIRING from all cylinders, Nigeria’s ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has taken a swipe at politicians in Nigeria. Not only has he faulted them, but called them ‘Looters stealing the nation’s resources and manipulating the youths’ mind for heir own selfish end.’<\/b><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Known to be a daring former Nigerian President, who never hide his feelings on any national issues bothering on the progress of the country, Obasanjo on February 11 twitted using his handle @SegunObasanjo to express his disappointment in the way politics is being done in Africa’s most populous nation. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In his message, Obasanjo believes Nigerian politicians only care to loot the future of the youths, thereby leaving them stranded, jobless, dry and ‘they eventually becomes tool in political destruction.’ He warned them on the implications of fighting for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or All Progressives Congress (APC), since the two political parties belong to Nigerians. He restated the fact that all youths must work together to move Nigeria forward no matter their political affiliation. He picked hole in the latest form of corruption where political leaders insert dubious figures in the nation’s budget. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His words (unedited): \u201c<\/span><\/strong>Dear Nigerian youths, stop allowing politicians to manipulate and use you. These people (politicians) don’t love you. They only care to LOOT your future. <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Nigeria youths are busy fighting for PDP and APC while politicians… and your leaders are busy inserting figures in the nation’s budget. For Nigeria to progress and prosper, Nigerian youths must accept each other irrespective of your political beliefs, either APC or PDP. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
