HUNDREDS OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS living in Malaysia, Singapore and India seems to be ‘dining’ with the Devil, all in a bid to survive crunchy and hard economic situations they are facing. To many of them, they are ready to ‘eat-with-the-Devil’ even it means they will eventually live on one kidney after they might have donated of one of their kidneys in a surgical operation. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Theses Nigerian youths are not scared of death and are willing to damn all the consequences just to be able to overcome the scourge of poverty. Many of these Nigerians had traveled to those countries in search of Greener pastures but to get stuck by the reality that the grass is not actually green on the other side. Confronted with poverty, they had resorted to be trading their lives away by selling one of their kidneys each to intending doctors and hospitals in India by being $300,000 richer. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To corroborate this view, undercover investigation by our reporter showed how Asian doctors are presently on high demand for Nigerians 100% healthy kidneys and are willing to pay a minimum of $220,000 per kidney. To show these kidney-hunters’ seriousness, they make available a list of their phone numbers, emails in which they can be reached, after which plans for kidney transplants for their ailing patients are concluded. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Before now, kidney donors in Malaysia and Singapore are paid the sum of $200,000, but India has emerged the highest collector and buyer of Nigerian kidneys. Undercover investigation by this correspondent showed that these India doctors, hospitals specifically request for Nigerian youths’ kidney since they know many of them have no financial buoyancy to survive in the Asian countries. By that the stranded Nigerian youths would be willing to sacrifice any organ in his body to make money and survive Abroad. This is why Nigerian youths who donate their kidneys in Asia, lucky to be alive after the surgical operations are paid the sum of $200,000. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Dr. Raja Manior, Rainbow Hospital, George Town, Malaysia who boasts they have branches in Kuala Lumpur, <\/span><\/em>Kuching and Malacca City, he said they are always out on the streets and on internet in search Nigerian youths with B+ve, O+ve and A+ve blood groups willing to trade one of their kidneys for payment. His words: \u201cWe have lots of ailing patients that comes from rich families willing to pay any price to buy one kidneys for kidney transplant to stay alive. They have the money. They have the influence and connection. As at 2016, in the whole of Malaysia and Singapore, we are buying one kidneys each for the sum of $220 from anyone including Nigerian youths. While in <\/span><\/em>Mumbai (Bombay) with a population of more than 16 million, we met with Dr Raymond Suraj of <\/em>Raymond Surgical Hospital in a taxi park, who claimed to be a Nephrologist with over a decade medical experience in kidney transplant. He explained that they are presently in urgent need of 15 kidneys. He specifically mentioned that donors must either have a blood group of B+ve, A+ve or O+ve, must be willing to donate one of their kidneys, must have gone to the hospital to carry out blood-group tests, must be willing to scan and send their international passports photo page and be willing to pay $300 as non-refundable registration fee. <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Raymond said: \u201cOur hospital here in India is presently in need of 15 kidney donors. We are ready to pay them. It is not free. Once we receive a copy of the blood-group done as in medical reports, the donor sends to us the scanned page of his\/her international passport photo page and made $300 registration payment by western union money transfer to us; then we would make wire payment to the donor in the sum of $155,000 before flying to India and another $155,000 after the successful operation, making it a total of $309,000.
