The couple had lured innocent people in\nEgypt and around the world to part with the sum of $500 (N180,000)\nwith a convincing claim that the golden ticket purchased will &#8216;get\npeople into the Gates of Heaven with no judgment from God,&#8217; whereas\ntheir claims are lies. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\n clergyman, and his wife, Amanda, were arrested for\nselling \u201ctickets to heaven.\u201d According\nto the police, the Pastor and his wife scammed people into buying\n$500 tickets that shall get them into the gates of heaven, with no\njudgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zimbabwean\nPastor arrested for selling tickets to heaven for N180,000 each on\nthe charge of  financial crime.<br><br>According to the police,\nPastor Tito Wats told thousands of people that it was Jesus \n&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/URUq4eIg6T\">pic.twitter.com\/URUq4eIg6T<\/a>\n\nvasatends (@vasatrend1 \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile,\n\nthousands of people are protesting the pastor\u2019s arrest; they called\non the police to release him immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nWatts\ntold those who sought salvation that the tickets were made from solid\ngold and each ticket reserved the buyer a place in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Police\nReport:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto I<em>nside Story<\/em>, this was Watt\u2019s police statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>I\ndon\u2019t care what the police say. The tickets are solid gold\u2026 it\nain\u2019t cut up two by fours I spray painted gold. And it was Jesus\nwho give them to me behind the KFC and said to sell them so I could\nget me some money to go to outer space. I met an alien named Stevie\nwho said if I got the cash together he\u2019d take me and my wife on his\nflying saucer to his planet that\u2019s made entirely of crack cocaine.\nYou can smoke all the crack cocaine there you want\u2026 totally free.\nSo, try to send an innocent man to jail and see what happens. You\nshould arrest Jesus because he\u2019s the one that gave me the golden\ntickets and said to sell them. I\u2019m willing to wear a wire and set\nJesus up\u2026[sic]\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe\nwife, Amanda Watts, said the following in her police statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201d<em>We\njust wanted to leave earth and go to space and smoke rock cocaine. I\ndidn\u2019t do nothing. Tito sold the golden tickets to heaven. I just\nwatched.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police\nsaid they confiscated over $10,000 in cash, five crack pipes and a\nbaby alligator, Inside Story reported. However,\nthis is not the first time that Tito and Amanda ever hit the news, as\nin 2015, Del Woodcock, a customer who bought a ticket from the couple\nfor $99.95, knew he was scammed after discovering that he only bought\na wooden ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey\nsaid it was solid gold,\u201d Woodcock said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what gold\nlooks like. How was I to know it was spray painted wood? I want my\n$99.95 back and I hope Tito and Amanda Watts get the death penalty\nfor what they done.
