But her attempts to\nforcefully gave milk to this infant which resulted in the child&#8217;s\ndeath landed her in court and jail where she has been sentenced to 40\nyears and may eventually die in the process due to her old age.\nOluremi Adeleye is embattled and may have come to her wit&#8217;s end.\nCourt documents showed this woman killed an 8-month-old, Enitan\nSalubi by force feeding her bottles of milk. Now, she will spend\ndecades in prison. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This\n73-year-old nanny received a decades-long sentence in prison Friday\nin the 2016 death of 8-month-old, officials said.  Adeleye was found\nguilty in February of second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse\nresulting in death and second-degree child abuse. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adeleye\nwas sentenced to 40 years for first-degree child abuse &#8212; confinement\nwas imposed for 15 years. She received a sentence of 30 years, all\nbut 15 suspended, for the second-degree murder conviction.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adeleye also\nreceived 15 years, all but three years suspended, for the\nsecond-degree child abuse charge. But Adeleye&#8217;s attorney, Douglas\nWood argued that he believes the sentence was &#8220;harsh&#8221; in a\npress conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Realistically,\nI don&#8217;t know if she&#8217;s going to be able to make it through a 15-year\nsentence, quite honestly,&#8221; Wood said. &#8220;Unlike what the\nfamily said, she feels terribly about what happened. And prior to\nthis event, she had been very caring for that child.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prince George&#8217;s\nCounty State&#8217;s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said there were no &#8220;winners\nor losers&#8221; in this case. His words: &#8220;Nothing that could&#8217;ve\nhappened here today could&#8217;ve really brought them the justice that\nthey want, which is to have their little girl with them,&#8221;\nBraveboy said. &#8220;She would&#8217;ve been three years old had she\nlived.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Braveboy\nbelieves the judge imposed a fair sentence. &#8220;She deserved to\ngrow up,&#8221; Braveboy said. &#8220;She deserved to have a life, to\nfulfill her dreams, and all of that was cut short by the reckless\nactions of someone who was supposed to care for her. And so we\nunderstand that miss Oluremi did not mean to kill baby Enita, but she\nshould have known that her actions could have cause serious bodily\nharm, and in this case, death.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the\nsentencing Friday, Braveboy said the family is still mourning the\nloss of their daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We hope\nthat they find some peace and some comfort as they move forward with\ntheir lives,&#8221; Braveboy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A nanny camera\ncaptured the incident between Adeleye and the baby on video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defense lawyers\nfor Adeleye, who was arrested  under her married name of Oluremi\nOyindasola, said she was \u201ccup feeding\u201d the child.
