CARNELL Moore, a-29 year old indigene of Beaumont, Texas is a Black American who graduated from Lamar Institute of Technology, a technical school from Georgia in Class of 2002. He was reserved, intelligent, withdrawn and very conservative. But no one, not even his classmates, family relations and friends ever knew Moore was an apostle and an addictive follower of \u2018Levi the Poet\u2019, a highlife artiste whose song titled \u2018When I go to Meet God, featuring Mae, the Guitar Player\u2019 drove him into committing suicide by shooting himself on the head at Houston\u2019s largest airport. Earlier before he committed suicide, he drank himself to stupor in another music bandstand in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Boozed at Afghan Wings band in Los Angeles weeks earlier<\/b><\/p>\n

Naija Standard<\/i><\/b> <\/b>learnt that Moore visited Afghan Wings band in Los Angeles some weeks earlier and partied after he had boozed himself to stupor. To show his deep attachment to \u2018Levi the Poet\u2019 song, the deceased allegedly used the ring tone of this music on his phone and he kept listening to it over the years. In his quietness most times, he talks aloud to himself, muttering unheard words to himself alone in an inaudible voice. It took the efforts of few people seated around him to help him to his feet at the end of the show.<\/p>\n

Not long after that, Moore returned to Beaumont, Texas, and shut himself out to the outside world. He became totally withdrawn and continually listened over and over again to the lyrics of the song of \u2018Levi the Poet\u2019, which prompted him to see nothing good in this life, but saw death as beautiful.<\/p>\n

Sources in his area close to him revealed that Moore strongly believe in dying, sorrow, pain than been alive since he allegedly never enjoyed a single moment of happiness. Having listened to this song always, he felt the need to kill himself.<\/p>\n

Purchased AR-15 Pistol in open market <\/b><\/p>\n

Naija Standard<\/i><\/b> <\/b>learnt that Moore allegedly purchased AR-15 handgun in an open market earlier and having made up his mind with strong conviction that it was beneficial and blessing to \u2018die\u2019 than live, he believed he had a \u2018monster\u2019 in his body that would not allow him had peace of mind except he kissed \u2018death\u2019 and see God face-to-face to ask him questions that had bothered him for years.<\/p>\n

Twitted his suicide intention on Facebook <\/b><\/p>\n

He began to carry out the \u2018monster\u2019 voice in his body, when he twitted at various times on his facebook wall the followings: \u201cThis Life Will Crash Tomorrow\u201d, \u201cI recently had the chance of staring death in the face, and she was beautiful,” and \u201c45 minutes and 59 seconds in God’s Shadow and Time Stops.\u201d<\/p>\n

24 hours after headed to Houston\u2019s largest airport to commit Suicide<\/b><\/p>\n

Naija Standard<\/i><\/b> <\/b>can tell you that Moore armed himself with his handgun neatly tucked under his cloth and suicide note hidden in his pocket; he entered the ticketing area inside Terminal B around 1:35 p.m. and was began to act strangely. As his behaviors started to attract undue attention, he brought out his gun and shot twice into the air. <\/b><\/p>\n

Police say a man who had fired a gun inside a ticketing area at Houston’s largest airport was killed after being confronted by a law enforcement official. But our investigation showed that Moore shot himself on the head. Houston police Capt. Dwayne Ready says it’s unclear if the unidentified man fatally shot himself or was killed by a\u00a0Homeland Security<\/a>\u00a0agent who had confronted him. <\/b><\/p>\n

Ready says the agent confronted the gunman after the man had fired one shot into the air around 1:35 p.m. Thursday and had refused to drop his weapon. Ready says the agent fired at the gunman at the same time as it appeared he was shooting himself. Officials say an autopsy will be conducted on Friday. Airport officials say the terminal remains closed but the rest of the airport is still operating.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken away in an ambulance, but he didn’t survive. Terminal B was closed for more than three hours while police investigated the shooting scene. They found one bullet in the ceiling.
