From 2004 to 2006, Ogunlesi was Executive Vice\nChairman and Chief Client Officer of CSFB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\nJuly 2006, Ogunlesi started the private equity firm, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Global_Infrastructure_Partners\">Global\nInfrastructure Partners (GIP)<\/a>,\na joint venture whose initial investors included Credit Suisse \nand\n<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/General_Electric\">General\nElectric<\/a>.\nHe currently serves as Chairman and Managing Partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EKixx2c-2BU\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\n2006, GIP bought <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/London_City_Airport\">London\nCity Airport<\/a>.\nIn\n2009, GIP acquired the majority in London Gatwick Airport<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gatwick_Airport\">\n<\/a>in\na deal worth \u00a31.455 billion.\nThe\nNigerian press has given him the nickname, &#8220;The Man Who Bought\nGatwick Airport.&#8221;GIP also owns <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edinburgh_Airport\">Edinburgh\nAirport<\/a>,\nwhich they bought in 2012, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nuovo_Trasporto_Viaggiatori\">Nuovo\nTrasporto Viaggiatori<\/a>,\nwhich they bought in February 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ogunlesi\nis a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
