THE SUCCESS being celebrated by the \u2018Governor-elect\u2019 of Enugu State, PETER MBAH seem to be on a shaky ground, as the\u00a0 Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig Gen YD Ahmed, has said the discharge certificate being paraded by Enugu Mbah was not issued by the body, but from \u2018Oluwole Market\u2019. Not taking it lightly on a likely coming perjury challenge, Mbah has quickly filed a court case against NYSC demanding the sum of N20billion for damages inflicted on him as a result of the discharge certificate scandal. Also, he claimed he did NYSC and was discharged honorably.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Brig Gen Ahmed, while appearing on Arise TV\u2019s breakfast programme on Friday said the argument on whether Mbah has a valid NYSC certificate or not did not arise because he has told the People\u2019s Democratic Party\u2019s candidate in the 2023 governorship elections that what he presented as a certificate was fake.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Enugu state governor-elect, Peter Mbah has filed a case against the NYSC, demanding N20 billion for injuries he claimed to have inflicted on his person due to the controversies surrounding his certificate.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Recall that controversy surrounding Mbah\u2019s discharge certificate became known publicly in February 2023, when the NYSC, in response to an inquiry by a non-governmental organisation, released a letter stating that the certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission was not issued by them.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
