 PDMTHE unending political crisis daily rocking Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) in Rivers State may be far from being over as various politicians with conflicting interests are now trading blames in the wake of the bomb blast attack on Ahoada Court Complex thereby creating diversionary tactics in a bid to deceive the people.

 In a press statement sent to Naija Standard, PDM in Rivers state condemned the bombing of the Ahoada court complex by unknown persons in the state. The statement by the State chairman Hon. George Ngbor, noted that the party described the incident as an unfortunate attack on the Judiciary which is the last hope of the defenceless and down trodden in the society.

Ngbor observed that the current crisis rocking the state if not checked is capable of snowballing into an undesirable situation for indigenes and residents of the state. The state party boss therefore called on politicians in the state to shun politics of bitterness which is characterized the current happenings in the state.

 

In another development, the Ikwerre Local Government Chapter of the PDM has described recent media reports that its members in the LGA have defected to the All Progressives Congress as false and misleading.

 

The LGA chairman, Omaranma Iheanyi who led some party faithful on a courtesy call on the state chairman noted that there was no truth in the matter. He maintained that the PDM in the LGA is intact with its members gearing up for the forthcoming membership registration exercise and party congresses and convention.

 

In his remark, the state chairman thanked the delegation during the visit. He further commended the members for growing the party in their LGA and charged them to law abiding. Hon. Ngbor further called on members to mobilize effectively for the forthcoming membership registration and congresses scheduled to hold between this month of January and February 2014.
