Nigeria’s Famous Nollywood Actor, Elder Maya is Dead…Battled Liver Disease for Months
*Spent all Incomes on Dialysis, Family Mourn Passage Today October 1st Nigeria’s Independence

IMMEDIATE family members of Elder Maya, a veteran Nollywood Actor who had featured in countless movies are presently mourning as the veteran movie actor succumb to the claws of death few hours this morning October 1 as his real names are Martins Njubuigbo.
Maya had been fighting liver disease for many months now, having emptied his bank accounts where all the funds he had earned in movie got drained through the ‘pipe of dialysis’. Some friends came to his rescue, yet the chronic liver problem would not subsidize. Family members then turned to God for prayers to heal Maya, but in long run, he gave in to the cold hands of death.
Naija Standard gathered that yesterday, on September 30, beloved veteran Nollywood actor Elder Maya still battled with a liver illness to stay alive. Njubuigbo whose movie stage name was Elder Maya was a beloved Nollywood actor who featured in many films, and loved to feature in films which were based on Nigerian villages.
Sadly, the veteran actor is said to have passed away today October 1, after months of battling with a liver related illness. Fellow actor Yomi Fabiyi was the first to announce his death on Instagram. See below:
He said: “RIP Elder Mayah. You were a veteran and a hard-working one at that. Journey well papa. My concerns and sympathy with his families and close colleagues.”
He will be missed by fans and fellow actors. May he rest in perfect peace.
