IBRAHIM Badamasi Babangida (IBB), a former Nigerian Head of State has faulted lies making the rounds in some circles that payment is being made for Aso Rock, the nation’s seat of power in the sum of N22million by the presidency. He did not only dissociates himself from the lies, but punctured it, by saying there is no truth whatsoever in the allegation.
IBB claims he had no idea who the landlord of Aso Rock is presently (apparently referring to President Muhammadu Buhari). He expressed surprise and asked an hypothetical question to know whom the hoax N22 million is being paid to by exonerating himself from the allegation and asked if the administration of erstwhile ex-president Goodluck Jonathan (GEJ) was in recipient of Aso Rock rent.
He gap-tooth Army General faults the unseriousness of the incumbent government of President Muhammadu Buhari in patronizing Made-In Nigeria goods. Also, he challenged Nigerian youths to brace, face the future and refuse to be led stray by politicians.
IBB in his twitter handle @General_IBB on February 10 said: “I built Aso Rock and I wonder who the current Landlord is. I read a certain N22M for the payment of Aso Rock rent. Rent to who, Me or GEJ?
If the FG truly want Nigerians to patronize Made In Nigeria goods. They should patronize Innoson and stop using Toyota. A good society won’t build the future for the youth, but build the youth for the future. It’s sad to see some youths mislead by politicians.”
