HE’S REPUTED IN THE NIGERIAN COMMUNITY as a ‘Freedom Fighter’. SUNDAY ADEYEMO, whose mantra is ‘Igboho’, a self-determination movement activist has concluded plans to continue to ‘fight’ for the liberation of the Yoruba race to ‘break-away’ from Nigeria so as to establish a Yoruba nation.
Igboho, a prominent figure in the Yoruba self-determination movement, has extended heartfelt New Year wishes to all Yoruba sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora.
Through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, Chief Igboho conveyed his prayers for a prosperous and joyful year for everyone.
Reaffirming the quest for Yoruba Nation (Odua Nation), Igboho used the occasion to reassure all Yoruba people that the pursuit of self-determination remains steadfast and non-negotiable.
He emphasized the collective commitment to achieving freedom and urged everyone to prepare for peaceful rallies and protests that will amplify the demand for Yoruba sovereignty.
“Our watchword remains ‘No going back.’ This is the time for unity, courage, and focus. We are resolute in our mission, and we call on all Yoruba sons and daughters to be prepared for what lies ahead,” he said.
“Peaceful protests and rallies will be held continuously to assert our rights to self-determination. Do not fear—this is a movement that will bring about the change we all desire.”
Igboho called for unwavering unity among the people and urged everyone to stay vigilant, proactive, and determined in their resolve.
“This is not the time for hesitation. We must sit up, organize, and move forward together. The journey may be challenging, but our destination is clear, and our victory is certain,” he added.
In his New Year message, Igboho assured everyone that the dream of a sovereign Yoruba Nation will soon become a reality.
“May this new year bring happiness, peace, and fulfillment to all Yoruba people across the globe. Your unwavering contributions to the struggle for self-determination and the establishment of our nation remain deeply appreciated.
“As we step into this new season, we are closer than ever to achieving our dreams,” Igboho stated.
