and he is celebrating same so quietly in a godly manner for continuous service to Nigeria. This outstanding Nigerian, who
doubles as Chairman, Afro Investors Limited, is a soft-spoken leader who cherishes the nation so passionately.
His Service to Nigeria
This widely traveled politician and graduate of Havard University in Massachusetts, United States led a positive
revolution in the nation’s maritime industry then as Nigeria’s Minister of Transport on April 6, 2010, dubbed “one of the
most remarkable and most successful period ever attained in the nation’s maritime industry.” Suleiman then reportedly said
the Ministry was committed to transforming the shipping industry to comply with global best practices. This he did
implement as a man who honors his promise to electorates. The nation witnessed this positive economic leap during the then
Acting presidency of Goodluck Jonathan newly formed cabinet. Simply, he brought his wealth of experience to bear in
Public Enterprise from Havard University, United States.
Suleiman, born January 30, 2013 is a workaholic businessman who believes in the ideology of hardwork as he served as
Nigeria’s Minister of Sports and Chairman National Sports Commission (NSC) on July 18, 2011to December 3, 2011 with
footprints left in the Sports sector. He is a great lover of Sports. Many of his friends in the social circle know he is a
great lover of Super Eagles of Nigeria and Arsenal Football Club, England. For this reason, he shows interest in all
matters concerning these two great football bodies.

Allah at every opportunity. He takes pleasure in assisting the less privileged in the society. No wonder he is being

His Biography
Suleiman obtained B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1986 and MBA from
ABU in 1989. He joined the civil service, where he worked in various positions. Before being appointed Minister he was
Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna.
