A Nigerian man has stirred the honest pot by dumping the Nigerian culture to marry a Texas man in a church marriage attended by a few circles of friends recently. Innocent Ndubuisi Okechukwu, damned all the consequences after he married his lover, Greg, in the United States. The wedding took place in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Downers Grove, Illinois (USA) on January 10, 2026.

Okechukwu, an Igbo gay man, celebrated his male partner during the church ceremony, both wearing traditional Igbo attire, with the union officiated by a Reverend Father.
Okechukwu is said to be a composer and pianist. Greg is a chorister and a lector in the Episcopal Church.
The Episcopal Church belongs to the global Anglican Communion, a fellowship of churches worldwide that recognizes the Archbishop of Canterbury for unity.
Nigerian Christians, take note: gay marriage in the Church-this is what America the Messiah of Christians in Nigeria presents as a human right.
After the so-called intervention in the so-called Christian genocide in Nigeria, Christians may be asked to adopt gay marriage across churches, as is being done in America.

This is what is supported by the Western world, while Nigerian Christians are pleading for intervention over what they describe as a Christian genocide in Nigeria-raising the question: is this not a form of gender genocide?
