*BY The EDITORIAL BOARD, NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER Inc USA

SHE made history as a Nigerian, an African and had her name written in the Global Halls of Fame, after she emerged the winner of 2025 Most Outstanding African & Black Transformational Speaker in the World Award, a historic feat no African native ever attained on the soil of America. OLU ADETUTU, the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Olumination Enterprises, Tampa, Florida, United States beat all odds, outdid all human adversities she faced, resilient; kept a warm smile in the face of the challenges, yet gives hope to the hopeless, voice to the voiceless in her motivational talks that has transformed uncountable lives around the world.

For thoroughness and to guard against any undue pressure, the NSN Award Selection Committee in celebration of the just concluded 14th year anniversary of Naija Standard Newspaper Inc USA, secretly met weekly for eight months, threw open Global-African Pool Voice votes for eleven nominees believed to represent the best face of Africa’s motivational speakers.

The final shortlisted nominees were Steven Bartlett, Botswana-born British Nigerian entrepreneur, investor and podcaster, David Adetayo Olusoga, OBE, a British Nigerian historian, author, writer, broadcaster and BAFTA winning filmmaker.

Others are Lynette Ntuli (South African keynote speaker), Kevin Abdulrahman, an electrifying motivational speaker from the Middle East, raised in New Zealand; Ehi Iden (Nigerian motivational speaker), Candice Mama (South African motivational speaker).

Also included are the following personalities: Bernard Kelvin Clive, a prominent author and speaker from Ghana, Dr. Chris Mauki, well celebrated motivational speaker in Tanzania; Najuna Albert, a well-respected Ugandan motivational speaker, Abdelillah Habbat Idrissi, a notable online coach, video maker from Morocco and Olu Adetutu, a Nigerian motivational speaker, veteran transformational speaker, seasoned life coach, and founder.

The NSN Award Selection Committee did a serious background check on all the shortlisted candidates, had a global verification of their work experiences to ensure they are the true representation of their biodata in their chosen career.

At the end of the ‘Global-Vote-Pool’ search for the Best African and Black motivational speakers, these underlisted renowned personalities had the following outcomes:

Steven Bartlett: had 30, 500 votes, David Adetayo Olusola: had 55,600 votes, Lynette Ntuli: had 42,000 votes. Kevin Abdulrahman: had 25, 500 votes, Ehi Iden: had 80,000 votes, Candice Mama: had 155, 500 votes. Bernard Kelvin Clive: had 120,000 votes, Dr. Chris Mauki: had 220,000 votes; Najuna Albert: had 600, 000 votes, Abdelillah Habbat Idrissi: had 190,000 votes and Olu Adetutu: scored 950,000 votes.

It is on record that the NSN Award Selection Committee have been following Adetutu’s track records in a journey that spans over three decades and two continents, from Nigeria to the United States, marked by profound moments of adversity, including a near-death experience that led to an awakening and a calling to help others lead with light. This catalyst inspired her into helping people to illuminate their potential, overcome challenges, and thrive in life to become better people in their chosen career.

NSN Award Selection Committee had to create a neutral ‘Global-Vote-Pool’ in Africa, Europe, North America & Asia in search of only prominent African Motivational Speakers that are impacting peoples lives positively, as nominees.

In an official statement issued by NSN Award Selection Committee, it reads: “After seven months of thorough investigation, and review of the entire African-Voice votes, the inspiring, true story of Olu Adetutu, a Certified Life Coach, Chief Executive Officer of Olumination Enterprises, Tampa, Florida, United States stands out, as it touched millions of lives around the world. In her journey of over three decades and two continents, this highly intelligent orator with positive impact on humanity overcame adversity that the vicissitudes of life brought her way in a warm embrace and received an overwhelming vote of 950,000 to emerge the winner in the recently held 14th year anniversary of Naija Standard Newspaper Inc USA”.
