REVEALED:JAMES IBORI STUDIES HOLY BIBLE INSIDE LONDON MAXIMUM PRISON WITH TERRORISTS, RAPISTS & CRIMINALS!
…Why He Remains richest ex-Nigerian Governor, Plus His Petty Thief Lifestyle in UK in the Past
* Sacked as a Cashier for stealing 200Pound
JAMES Onanefe Ibori, a high chief from Delta State, Nigeria convicted for money laundery/conspiracy
to defraud charges, presently serving a-13 year jail term is changing inside his new Maximum-security prison
located at the Worcestershire Long Lartin Prison outside London by his latest lifestyle of
studying the Holy Bible, particularly meditating on the pages of Psalms, having looted the
treasury of Delta States to the princely sum of over £250m cash and various funds before
the hands of the law finally caught up with him abroad, since he was earlier cleared of
corruption charges by Nigerian judiciary. Yet, he remains the richest ex-Nigerian governor.
His latest godly-lifestyle
Naija Standard investigation revealed that with reality dawned on Ibori that the game was up,
bearing in mind that those people so dear to him like his wife, sister, mistress and lawyer
are also serving various jail terms in United Kingdom on charges of corruption traceable to
him, he had embraced ‘God’. This he did after his transfer to this maximum prison by ensuring
he wakes up early to sing praises to God, spend quality time perusing the Holy Bible-
obviously on deep meditation, sharing same with fellow convicted terrorists, drug barons; rapists,
hardened armed robbers and muderers whom he shared prison.
Sources among whom are security operatives attached to Long Lartin prison, not authourized to
officialy speak confided in Naija Standard thatccintly this new, godly lifestyle of Ibori is really
baffling convicted hardened criminals, many of whom are British citizens have had of the
criminal past of this former governor. They had expected him to be a don inside the prison
based on his global connection and monetary influence. Like the Bible succintly puts it:
‘All is Vanity’. Ibori now convinces other inmates to study the Bible because there is hope and life
in there. Though only few convicts now join him in praise worships and bible study, but majority
of the criminals alledgelly see nothing good in what he is doing except to be their don. Feedback
reaching us says, at the expiration of Ibori’s 13 year jail term, going by the way he is going,
he would have been a different, godly-man totally ; since ‘with God, all things are possible.’
Heard also, that he felt so guilty and remoseful for all he did in the past, to have even allowed
Theresa, his wife, Sister, Christine Ibori-Ibie be sent to jail on his own corruption problems.
Ibori, richest ex-governor in Nigeria
Naija Standard learnt that aside the laundered hundreds of millions of pound sterling he stole
from public funds in Delta State, he and his wife, sister had lived lavish lifestyles that included
purchase of private jets, luxurious cars and to own plush homes as well as apartments in some of the
costliest areas in London. This is why Ibori, seen as the richest ex-governor in Nigeria is expected
to serve at least seven years in the UK since he received credit for his detention in the United Arab
Emirates as well as the United Kingdom prior to his trial.
United States (U.S.) court seized his asset worth N480 million ($3 million)
Ibori seems far from being over after serving his 13 year jail term in Uk because United States Government
is ready to begin fresh legal trial with him on charges of corruption. That way his US properties
worth $3m was confiscated on the orders of US Court. The seizure was announced recently through a statement
by an Assistant Attorney General at the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Lanny Breuer;
and a Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), John Morton.
The asset, believed to be proceeds of corruption, seized from Ibori are a mansion in Houston(Texas) and two
Merrill Lynch brokerage accounts. The case is part of the Justice Department’s Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative.
Breuer said “Instead of working to benefit the people of the Nigerian Delta, Governor Ibori pilfered state
funds and accumulated immense wealth in the process. He conspired with Mr. Gohil (Bhadresh, his British Lawyer) to
funnel millions of dollars in corruption proceeds out of Nigeria and into bank accounts and assets maintained in the
names of shell companies and nominees. “ The U.S. District court of Columbia approved the seizure on May 16, 2012,
following an application from a UK court.
James Ibori Criminal Past as a Cashier in UK
Agreed that on April 17, 2012, former Delta State governor, James Ibori was sentenced to 13 years in prison
for money laundering. What many do not know is that the former governor started his stealing career in London
as a petty thief at a Wickes Hardware store before he became a governor. While working as a cashier he stole
200 pound Sterling and give his wife same for keep not knowing the CCTV camera captured him. He was dismissed.
‘Ibori Spends $100,000 monthly on his Credit Cards before his Trial’-Met Police
Det Constable John McDonald and Det Constable Clerk Peters, both of Metropolitan Police recently confessed that
” Ibori before his trial at all lived like a king, spends 16 days in London, 14 days in Las Vegas, Florida.
Carries huge physical cash in his private jet. When we stormed his lawyer’s office we discovered his various mapped
out plans to hide Ibori’s laundered money meant for the Oil-rich people of Delta State, Nigeria”
US Warns against Kleptocracy
While speaking on the asset seizure, Mr. Morton, the ICE director descried Mr. Ibori’s case as
“a warning to those corrupt foreign officials who abuse their power for personal financial gain
and then attempt to place those funds in the U.S. financial system.”
He said his agency would work with other US authorities to deny “them (corrupt foreign officials)
the satisfaction of their illegal earnings.”
The statement also called on members of the public, anywhere in the world, to report any public
official suspected of keeping stolen funds in the U.S.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is indeed a serious case for James Onanefe Ibori. We shall update you with
