THE CRISIS SURROUNDING THE TRUE PATERNITY of LIAM ALOBA, the son of Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba, famously known as MOBHAD is now attracting a larger controversy, as The Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom in the Eti-Osa Local Community Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Oba Saheed Ademola, has dissociated himself from the ongoing paternity saga involving Liam Aloba, son of the late singer. The Monarch, in his latest petition to the Nigerian Police alleged his reputation is being ruined by some persons on the social media whom he accused of violating the Cyberlaws in the country. He disowned the biological fatherhood of Liam.
Oba Elegunshi has listed these Nigerians, social media influencers in the Diaspora under different profile names as one Abosede Comfort Ilesanmi, a Nigerian based in Germany, and one Olubukola Jesse, popularly known as Bukky Jesse, who lives in the United Kingdom, have reportedly been using TikTok to spread information that the monarch is the biological father of Mohbad’s son.
Their allegations have generated widespread controversies on social media platforms as many social media users have been asking Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi to release her son, Liam to her father-in-law, Mr. Joseph Aloba to conduct a DNA test to ascertain the identity of the biological father of the boy.
But Wunmi and her legal team have insisted that Mohbad’s father must get a court order before Liam could be presented for a DNA test.
However, Oba Elegushi in a statement issued on Tuesday by his media consultant, Lambert and Curtis and signed by Deyemi Saka, dissociated himself from the paternity saga, describing the social media influencers’ insinuation as false and a figment of their wicked imaginations.
The statement read, “We are the media consultant to the Elegushi Royal Family and we will like to respond to a new desperate attempt at dragging His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi to the needless paternity dispute over the son of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as “Mohbad”.
“The widely syndicated falsehood was promoted by some persons with the under-listed profile on the social media app TikTok namely: Oloriebimusicproduction2; PEKINS RULES, and WESTO4LIVE.
“Also the same falsehood is being promoted by: “Auto Success Ola”; Olubukola Jesse; “Teni Omo Ologo” and, Tolani Ilesanmi.
“First of all, this is to inform the public that the allegation is false and a figment of the wicked imaginations of these persons.
“Secondly, HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi through his lawyers have filed a petition against these persons with the Nigeria Police and other relevant security agencies in a bid to enforce his fundamental human rights and protect him from cyber bullies while he is hopeful the Nigeria Police will collaborate with relevant international security organisations in this quest for redress.
“Thirdly, it must be stated emphatically that Oba Elegushi just as many Nigerians is saddened by the sudden demise of Mohbad, demanded for a thorough investigation and a quick dispensation of justice.
“While we pray to almighty God to grant the Alobas the immense strength to bear this painful loss we urge people to refrain from dragging the integrity of His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi and the revered traditional institution he represents into public disrepute.”

In her own response, MOBHAD’s mother, in an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH, claimed that Mohbad always visited her in her dreams and assured her that his death would be avenged soon.
She said, “It was God’s will. My child’s death was like that of Jesus. Judas killed Jesus and later committed suicide. Mohbad’s murderers will also commit suicide soon.”
She continued: “I see my son every day in my dreams. He always comes to see me. I believe I will surely get justice one day, but not the way his father is going about it.
“I am not disappointed that my son is no more; it is the will of God. It had been written that all those behind the death of my son would die the same way too. Mohbad stood by me every time his father was fighting me. He told me that his father was always cursing me, and he could not withstand the curses. But I told him to leave his father to God.
“Three days ago, I saw him (in my dream), and he promised that he would fight. People think he has given me everything. People say a lot of things against me, but I believe those doing that, including Joseph (Mohbad’s father), are not well trained for them to be saying such things about him.
“If they had someone like Mohbad in their families, they wouldn’t have been saying such things. If they had not buried him hastily, this whole thing wouldn’t have turned out this way.”
The bereaved mother also berated some Nigerians who promised to use their platforms to seek justice on the matter but eventually profited from the situation and abandoned it midway.
“A lot of people have enriched themselves from this, but the justice they are supposed to be fighting for has been left for me and Omowunmi (Mohbad’s wife) to seek,” she added.

Meanwhile, Wunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer, aka Mohbad, has made a turn around on her decision to allow a DNA test to be conducted on their son, Liam.
Some Nigerians, including her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, have been clamouring for a DNA test to be conducted on Liam to ascertain his true paternity following the tragic death of the rapper.
In a recent turn of events, Wunmi, who had previously expressed her willingness for a DNA test on her son, said she is no longer open to a DNA test on Liam.
Speaking in an audio message making the rounds on X, Wunmi said only her late husband has the right to request a DNA test from her.
She claimed that Mohbad dis-virgined her and he is the only man she has ever known.
Wunmi said: “Mohbad dis-virgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I have never slept with any man except him. I will never do any DNA; no one can tell me to do DNA except I wish to. Koni daa fun gbogbo yin ranting about DNA.”

Speaking on Tik Tok some 48 hours ago, Mr. LATI, CEO, OfficialOloriEbiMusicProduction on Tiktok, said the following words: “You (Oba Elegunshi) are the Father of LIAM, Make public your DNA to clear yourself, I am Not alleging you Killed MOBHAD. If you release your DNA and it showed you are not the true father of LIAM, I will apologize to you”.
