My immediate goal is to establish Flixora’s first physical office in London before the end of this year since London is a global centre for business, technology, media and entertainment, making it the ideal location from which to build and scale our operations. We believe that great stories should not be limited by geography, industry connections, or marketing budgets. Flixora connect creators directly with audiences worldwide, help filmmakers increase visibility, build their fan base and unlock significant revenue opportunities from their work”-CHUKWUEMAKA MARTINS OSUOFIA, graduate of Arts, Kanata Academy, Canada

HE’S a passionate young entrepreneur driven by a strong belief in hard work, vision, and impact within the global film industry. From his childhood, he developed a deep passion for leadership and storytelling, with a long-standing ambition to become a significant force within the movie and entertainment space.
This young man whose creativity is about to revolutionize the entertainment and art sector in a global scale is CHUKWUEMAKA MARTINS OSUOFIA.
This hobby led him to embrace acting as a career and later transitioned into filmmaking, where he gained hands-on experience working within the Nigerian film industry, including under the mentorship of established professionals in the field.
He vigorously pursued Arts at Kanata Academy in Canada which further strengthened his creative foundation. Later, he enrolled to study Theatre Arts at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom; after while made a bold decision to step away from formal studies to gain real-world industry experience and fully dedicate himself to building practical solutions within the film industry.
That singular decision marked a turning point in his life’s adventure, leading him to focus entirely on entrepreneurship and innovation in the film space. This path ultimately inspired the creation of Flixora, a platform built to address the challenges he observed and experienced firsthand, with the goal of transforming how filmmakers distribute and monetize their work globally.
Martins is the founder of Flixora, a self-service movie streaming platform that democratizes film streaming and distribution by enabling filmmakers to distribute and sell their movies to audiences worldwide. The platform provides creators with tools to upload, manage, and monetize their content while giving viewers access to a diverse range of films across multiple genres and regions. Flixora supports global accessibility and independent film distribution through a digital-first streaming model.
Highly cerebral Martins comes from a strong family background, being the third of five children raised by a resilient single mother, Queen Chinonso Lilian Osuofia, who played a major role in shaping my discipline, values, and determination.
*NAIJA STANDARD: How and why did you coin the name FLIXORA?
*MARTINS: Flixora was coined to create a unique and memorable brand identity within the film and streaming industry. The name represents our vision of providing a welcoming platform where filmmakers can showcase their work and audiences can discover and enjoy great content from around the world.
*NAIJA STANDARD: What inspired you to debut this maiden streaming movie distribution platform as an African?
*MARTINS: My inspiration for launching Flixora comes from my personal experience within the film industry. Before founding the platform, I worked as an actor in Nigeria and had aspirations of building a career on a global scale. During that journey, I witnessed firsthand the challenges many filmmakers, actors and content creators face when trying to distribute and monetize their work.
I also produced a film of my own, investing significant time, effort and resources into the project. However, due to the lack of accessible and effective distribution opportunities, the film never reached audiences and remained on my hard drive. That experience highlighted a major problem faced by countless independent creators around the world: creating content is difficult, but getting it seen and generating revenue from it can be even harder.
In many African countries, and other parts of the world, filmmakers often rely on YouTube to distribute movies because there are few viable alternatives. While YouTube is an excellent platform for general video content, it was not specifically designed for film distribution, and many creators struggle to earn meaningful revenue from their work there.
These experiences inspired me to create Flixora specifically to help filmmakers and content owners distribute, showcase and monetize their films more effectively. Our goal is to democratize film distribution by giving creators of all sizes the opportunity to reach global audiences and generate income from their content, regardless of their location or existing following.
*NAIJA STANDARD: How did you empower filmmakers and creators to selflessly distribute, manage and monetize their movies directly to global audiences?
*MARTINS: At Flixora, we empower filmmakers and content creators by removing many of the traditional barriers associated with film distribution. Rather than relying solely on major studios, broadcasters or complex distribution networks, creators can upload, manage, and distribute their content directly through our platform.
We provide filmmakers with tools to showcase their work to a global audience, track performance, manage their library content, and generate revenue from their films. This gives creators greater control over how their content is distributed and monetized while allowing them to reach viewers beyond their local markets.
One of Flixora’s key differentiators is its creator-focused monetization model. We have designed the platform so that creators can earn meaningful revenue from audience engagement. For example, under our payment structure, 10,000 qualified views can generate up to $10,000 in revenue for a creator. Our objective is to ensure that filmmakers are fairly rewarded for the value they bring to audiences, rather than receiving only a small fraction of the revenue generated by their content.
Our mission is to democratize film distribution by creating opportunities for both emerging and established filmmakers. We believe that great stories should not be limited by geography, industry connections, or marketing budgets. By connecting creators directly with audiences worldwide, Flixora helps filmmakers increase visibility, build their fan base and unlock significant revenue opportunities from their work.

*NAIJA STANDARD: What led you to have introduced profound strategies that enable movie makers to bypass traditional studio gatekeepers to showcase their work to the people regardless of their followers count?
*MARTINS: The idea was born from observing the challenges that many independent filmmakers face when trying to bring their work to market. Traditionally, access to distribution opportunities has often depended on industry connections, large marketing budgets, existing audiences, or approval from major studios and distributors. As a result, many talented filmmakers struggle to get their films seen, regardless of the quality of their work.
Having experienced these challenges firsthand, I believed there should be a more accessible path for creators to reach audiences. Great films should be judged by their quality and ability to connect with viewers, not solely by the size of a filmmaker’s following or industry network.
This belief led to the creation of Flixora. We designed the platform to give filmmakers direct access to global audiences, allowing them to distribute, promote, and monetize their content without having to rely entirely on traditional gatekeepers. Our goal is to create a more level playing field where both emerging and established creators have the opportunity to showcase their work, build an audience and generate meaningful revenue from their films.
By focusing on accessibility, fair monetization, and creator empowerment, Flixora enables filmmakers to concentrate on what they do best – which is telling compelling stories – while providing them with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in today’s digital entertainment landscape.
*NAIJA STANDARD: In Africa, there is Movie Censors Board that provides classification for films in various categories through the governments. How were you able to beat the African governments to it, even though you are also an African originally?
*MARTINS: One of the challenges facing the global film industry today is the scale of piracy, unauthorized distribution and intellectual property infringement. Despite the existence of copyright laws and regulatory frameworks in many countries, filmmakers continue to lose significant revenue due to movie leaks, illegal streaming platforms and the unauthorized sharing of content online.
This is not an issue unique to Africa, rather it is a global challenge affecting creators, producers, and studios of all sizes. Independent filmmakers are often the hardest hit because they may lack the resources to aggressively protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.
At Flixora, we saw an opportunity to contribute to a solution. Our platform is built around the principle of creator ownership and content integrity. We work to ensure that content uploaded to the platform is submitted by authorized rights holders and that filmmakers maintain control over how their work is distributed and monetized.
Our mission is to create a trusted ecosystem where original content is respected, intellectual property is protected, and creators are fairly compensated for their work. By prioritizing rights management, transparency, and legitimate distribution channels, we aim to help filmmakers maximize the value of their content while giving audiences access to authentic, high-quality entertainment.
Ultimately, we believe that creators deserve a platform where their work is protected, their rights are respected and their success is directly tied to the value they create for audiences around the world.

*NAIJA STANDARD: How is your platform, FLIXORA different from YouTube or Netflix which millions of movie producers in Africa and America’s Hollywood use daily to LIVE stream their works to the world?
*MARTINS: First of all, Flixora is not positioning itself as a competitor to existing streaming platforms. Companies such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and YouTube have made enormous contributions to the global entertainment industry and have helped millions of creators reach audiences worldwide.
However, one of the biggest challenges facing the film industry today is piracy and the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content. Despite advances in technology and content protection systems, movies from virtually every major streaming platform can still be found on illegal websites shortly after release. This continues to result in significant revenue losses for filmmakers, producers, distributors and rights holders across the industry.
The issue is not necessarily a failure of any single platform, but rather a reflection of a broader industry challenge that has persisted for decades. As piracy networks become more sophisticated, content creators are increasingly seeking stronger ways to protect their intellectual property and maximize the value of their work.
This is where Flixora aims to make a difference. Our objective is to create a creator-first ecosystem that places intellectual property protection, rights management and fair monetization at the centre of the distribution process. We are committed to working closely with filmmakers and content owners to ensure that original works are distributed through legitimate channels and that creators maintain greater control over their content.
Ultimately, our goal is to help build a future where filmmakers are not only able to reach global audiences, but are also better positioned to protect their work, preserve its value and receive fair compensation for the creativity and effort that goes into producing it.
*NAIJA STANDARD: What are the challenges you had to overcome to have successfully operated FLIXORA?
*MARTINS: That is a very meaningful question because the journey of building Flixora has been far from easy. The idea for Flixora began in 2021, and what followed was years of research, learning, development and perseverance. One of the first challenges was gaining a deep understanding of the film industry and the real problems filmmakers face. I immersed myself in the industry, drawing from my own experiences and engaging with creators to better understand their needs, frustrations and aspirations.
Like many startups, funding was one of our biggest obstacles. Building a technology platform from the ground up requires significant resources, and there were periods when financial constraints slowed progress. We also faced numerous technical challenges, including server issues, software failures, and the complexities that come with developing a scalable streaming and distribution platform.
Beyond the technical and financial hurdles, there were personal challenges as well. There were moments of doubt, discouragement and uncertainty. Some friends and family questioned whether the project would succeed, and there were times when even members of the development team struggled to see the long-term vision. At one point, I stepped back to reflect on the years I had already invested in and wondered whether continuing the journey was the right decision.
But what kept me going was a simple belief: the current system could be improved, and filmmakers deserved better opportunities to distribute and monetize their work. That conviction became stronger than the challenges I faced.
Flixora is more than a company to me. It represents years of sacrifice, learning, resilience and commitment to a vision. Today, seeing the platform come to life is incredibly rewarding, but this is only the beginning. My goal has always been to build something that creates lasting value for filmmakers around the world, a platform that can continue empowering creators for generations to come.
In many ways, Flixora is a legacy project. It was built with the belief that great stories deserve to be seen, and that creators deserve a fair opportunity to succeed. That mission will continue to guide the platform well into the future.
*NAIJA STANDARD: In which continent of the world is FLIXORA easily accessible for movie upload by producers to meet the yearning demands of your audience?
*MARTINS: Flixora is currently focused on serving filmmakers and audiences in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, which represent some of the world’s largest English-speaking entertainment markets. Producers and content owners in these regions can easily access the platform to upload, distribute, and monetize their films.
Our decision to begin with these markets allows us to build a strong foundation, refine the platform experience, and ensure we deliver the highest level of service to both creators and viewers.
Looking ahead, we have plans to expand into additional English-speaking countries and international markets, providing more filmmakers with access to global distribution opportunities and enabling audiences worldwide to discover and enjoy diverse, high-quality content through Flixora.
*NAIJA STANDARD: How much did it cost you from out of the pocket to have floated FLIXORA?
*MARTINS: Over the course of the past five years, I have personally invested thousands of dollars in the development of Flixora. The investment has been spread across research platform development, infrastructure, technology, testing and operational costs.
Reason being that the project evolved over a long period and involved numerous stages of development, it is difficult to calculate an exact figure. However, what I can say is that building Flixora requires a significant personal financial commitment, along with a substantial investment of time, energy and dedication.
I made sacrifices and continuously reinvested resources into the vision because I believed in the platform’s potential to create meaningful opportunities for filmmakers and content creators.
*NAIJA STANDARD: Is FLIXORA officially trademark ™️ in Africa, Europe, United States of America; United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates?
*MARTINS: The trademark registration process for Flixora is currently underway in multiple jurisdictions, including Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
Our determination to protect our brand and intellectual property is an important part of our long-term strategy. We are actively working through the necessary legal and regulatory processes to secure trademark protection across key markets where we operate and plan to expand.
While some applications are still being processed, our objective is to establish comprehensive trademark protection that supports Flixora’s continued growth and international presence.
*NAIJA STANDARD: Is FLIXORA properly registered as your own personal intellectual property globally?
*MARTINS: The process of securing and formalizing Flixora’s intellectual property protections is currently ongoing across a number of key jurisdictions.
As the founder, I recognize the importance of protecting the platform’s brand, technology, content and associated intellectual property assets. We are, therefore, working through the appropriate legal processes to ensure that Flixora’s intellectual property rights are properly established and protected in the markets where we operate and intend to expand.
Building a global platform requires a strong intellectual property foundation, and we remain committed to taking all necessary steps to safeguard the innovation, brand identity, and long-term value of Flixora as the company continues to grow internationally.
*NAIJA STANDARD: Say five years down the lane, what height are we expecting your company to have attained?
*MARTINS: Five years from now, my vision is for Flixora to be recognized as one of the most impactful platforms in the global film industry, not simply because of its size, but because of the opportunities it creates for filmmakers and content creators.
My ambition is for Flixora to help create more financially successful filmmakers, producers, and content owners than any other film distribution platform has in recent decades. In fact, Flixora will create more millionaires in the movie industry than any company has created in the last 20 to 30 years.
In five years, I have envisioned Flixora operating across multiple international markets, serving a thriving community of filmmakers and viewers, and standing as a platform that has genuinely democratized film distribution. Most importantly, Flixora will be known as a company that helps thousands of creators build wealth, ownership and long-term careers through the power of storytelling.
*NAIJA STANDARD: What plans are in place for FLIXORA to open administrative offices in Africa, Europe, North America and recruit employees who are on the same page with your vision as an entrepreneur to bring your dream into fruition?
*MARTINS: My immediate goal is to establish Flixora’s first physical office in London before the end of this year. London is a global centre for business, technology, media and entertainment, making it the ideal location from which to build and scale our operations.
Beyond this milestone, my international expansion strategy is heavily dependent on securing the right investment and strategic partnerships. I am actively open to engaging with investors, venture capital firms, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners who share our vision of transforming film distribution and empowering creators worldwide.
With the support of investment capital, Flixora will accelerate its growth by expanding its team, strengthening its technology infrastructure, increasing market penetration, and establishing administrative offices in key regions such as Africa, North America and other international markets.
These offices will enable us to better serve filmmakers, content owners, and audiences while building stronger relationships within local creative industries.
My vision is ambitious and achieving it requires both capital and collaboration. The investment partners will play a critical role in helping Flixora scale globally and deliver on its mission of creating new opportunities for filmmakers and content creators around the world.
*NAIJA STANDARD: How soon do we expect FLIXORA to be officially unveiled to the African media through a World Press Conference?
*MARTINS: Flixora will be officially unveiled to the African media through a global press conference once we have secured strong strategic investors and achieved significant traction within our current target markets.
The timeline is aligned with broader growth and investment strategy. With the right funding, partnerships, and market momentum, we anticipate being in a position to host a major international media launch by mid-2027.
This timeline is intentional, as it allows us to focus first on building a solid foundation in key markets such as the United Kingdom, United States and Canada. During this phase, the priority is to scale the platform, grow our user base, onboard filmmakers, and demonstrate strong market validation.
I am actively seeking investors who can help accelerate this vision and support our expansion plans. Once we have reached the required level of investment and market readiness, we will proceed with a global press unveiling, including African media, to formally introduce Flixora on a worldwide stage.
*NAIJA STANDARD: Are there other plans much later to stage FLIXORA MOVIE AWARDS?
*MARTINS: Yes, there are long-term plans to introduce the Flixora Movie Awards as part of our broader vision for the platform.
The Flixora Movie Awards would be designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding filmmakers, producers, and content creators who use the platform to share their work with global audiences. The goal is to create a prestigious and inclusive awards system that highlights talent from both emerging and established creators across different regions.
However, bringing this vision to life on a scale will require significant investment and strategic partnerships. Funding will be essential to support event production, global participation, marketing, distribution, and the overall infrastructure needed to position the awards as a respected international event.
Our focus at this stage is to first strengthen the Flixora platform, grow our user base, and expand our market presence. Once we have achieved this foundation with the support of investors and partners, we will be able to roll out larger initiatives such as the Flixora Movie Awards as part of our long-term ecosystem for filmmakers.
Ultimately, the awards represent an important part of our vision to not only distribute films but also to celebrate and elevate the creators behind them on a global stage.
