STORM AND CONTROVERSY have embroiled the once peaceful family of Nigeria’s Music Juju Icon, King Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, famously known as ‘KSA’ on the dancing stage as a section of his lovely family members are now singing discordant tunes on the whereabouts, state-of-health of well respected musician of global appeal.
As the issues surrounding KSA spread like ‘wildfire’ on the social media, since many claimed to have tried to reach him on multiple times without a luck, the wife, Bose Olubo Adegeye, a musician, in a phone call with one of our correspondents debunked the ‘wild-fire- kidnap story claim’ in some quarters and rather explained what she knew as an insider in the last 5 minutes, “I can tell you that what is happening in our family in the last 5 minutes as a wife to the King (KSA) based on facts: KSA is not and was not kidnapped. Nothing is wrong with my husband. Truth is, before now, whenever the King finishes any show, he loves to chat for hours with his fans. But for health reasons, he’s advised to leave after the show based on medical advise so he can rest.
“The king was in a show 3 days ago. He was not kidnapped. Dayo is the manager (also the son). The manager always tell the driver after KSA show they should leave. This is a family internal affair. Someone is not having access to the King. I am his wife , and not a doctor. As I said, nothing is wrong with my husband. Somethings have got to change for the King’s sound health”, stated Bose Olubo Adegeye, the wife.

In an emotional laden voice, in tears, KSA’s daughter in London, a Dee Jay/Humanitarian cried out for help in an earlier exclusive interview she had with NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER Inc USA, Damilola Esther Adeniyi Adegeye raised the bar of tension and phobia regarding KSA when she alleged: “I last heard directly from my Dad, KSA, upper Sunday. I realized last week that Dayo, the manager, his brother, ken and Mum siezed my Dad’s mobile phones. They have been keeping him in different hotels not telling the rest of the family where KSA is. I have posted KSA disappearance on my pages in the social media, tagged the Nigerian police and the Lagos State Government.
“The manager keeps booking shows of KSA which starts from N25 million per show to himself alone. He is not accountable to anyone. The money cannot be traced. The manager threatened me and my siblings that no one can compel him to show us the show bookings and where the money is being lodged. He then blocked me on WhatsApp. Then, Kenny, his brother came to threaten me. Kenny threatened me body harm anytime I arrive Nigeria from the United Kingdom. I have all the evidence with the backing of my elder brothers and other siblings. KSA’s driver is the person buying him food from outside to eat i the hotel they are hiding him.”
We asked Damilola to let into the name of the hotel she alleged KSA is being ‘kidnapped’, her words: “I do not know. The manager is the one that knows about the details. And he’s not telling anybody in the family, including me. It was one of uncles that told me my Dad was sick. These people almost killed my sister that left America to see my Dad in Nigeria. Another of my sister died while sick in the United States earlier as my siblings could not reach my Dad and had to go through hell in Dayo’s hands. I was told he is suffering from Insomnia. I do not know what medication he is taking for sleeping. When I spoke to him last Sunday, he was talking drowsy.”

On the alleged fear her siblings are suffering. Damilola added: “My Uncle is available but afraid to speak up. My brother told me he has not been home for months and that they have been doing that for some years now for their safety. While I was talking to Dad the last time through the manager mobile phone, Dad said he was feeling sleepy and Dayo took the phone away from him. Since then, I have not heard again from him. My Dad’s mobile phone kept ringing with no answer.
“I want whole world to know that Dayo (KSA Band Manager), a step-son, Kenny are the faces behind my Dad’s alleged public disappearance. Dad normally collects over N25million upwards per show. In recent times since he fell sick, Dayo collects KSA’s fees without allowing my father to know who pays him what. They forced him to perform last Saturday and took away the money people sprayed him. I am petitioning the Nigeria Police since his life is in danger and we are being threatened”.

*Our Stand:
The Editorial Board of NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER Inc USA strongly believes that when facts are not available lies take the forefront. As such, to clear the air on this important matter, being that Nigeria’s music maestro, King Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye is a national treasure to Africa, we suggest that his public relations managers allow him address Nigerians on the true state of his health without any waste of time.
