He carries the holy flames of the Lord’s presence wherever he goes. His name is Prophet Onome Okovwurie, a man of God who carries the unction and the anointing of Archbishop Benson Idahosa.
The spiritually inclined prophet hears directly from God as an impeccable teacher of the word of God, imbued with the spiritual gifts of healing, deliverance, setting the captives free and winning souls into the Kingdom of God.

*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: What inspired you into the Prophetic Ministry?
*PROPHET ONOME: I was brought up in a church as a pastor’s child, so ministry has always been a part of my life from childhood. As for the Prophetic ministry, it was the calling into the office of a Prophet by a divine encounter that began my Prophetic journey.
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Lots of people see in you a prophetic protege of Archbishop Benson Idahosa, similar to how Prophet Elisha had anointing impartation of Prophet Elijah in the Holy Bible. Did you meet Bishop Idahosa during his lifetime before he joined other Saints of God in Heaven?
*PROPHET ONOME: As one who grew up in the same city as Archbishop Idahosa, my early childhood was shaped by his ministry, and I am a beneficiary of his labours; from Benin City to the ends of the earth. It is a privilege to be associated with the Idahosa legacy.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME SET EYES ON THE WORLD FOR GOD’S KINGDOM:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Can we state here that you were inspired into the prophetic ministry by Bishop Idahosa’s powerful ministration?
*PROPHET ONOME: My inspiration into the Prophetic ministry is based on my call from God but the legacy of Archbishop Idahosa remains a major motivation for every one of us who witnessed what God did through him.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME IN DELIVERANCE MINISTRATION:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: The moniker of your ministry calling is raising prophetic believers, training ministers in gift administration, and running online and physical prophetic mentorship programs (such as 7-day free prophecy administration training and 30-day intensive prophetic training). How long has that started?
*PROPHET ONOME: The vision of The Prophetic Institute was received in December 2015 and since then, we have been on this divine journey.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME IN HEALING MINISTRATION:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: What are the virtues of Bishop Idahosa that you cherished so much?
*PROPHET ONOME: For me, the lion heart of Archbishop Benson Idahosa stands out for me. He had strong convictions and he lived by them.

*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: If God Almighty takes you on a quick vision into Heaven before His throne, what the questions you will ask the Lord on behalf of the Prophetic Ministry, Christianity and Heavenly race?
*PROPHET ONOME: Interestingly, I have the privilege of access to heavenly visions very often and so all we do in raising New Testament Prophetic Ministers is a direct result of what the Lord instructs from those encounters. The greatest burdens of the Lord for the Prophetic ministry today is for a restoration of genuine biblical order in the ministry and an end to the merchandising of the Prophetic anointing.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME ARRIVES NORTHERN PROPHETIC MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: You have written several books like Intimacy, Understanding the Prophetic Ministry, Activation Practicals, and How to Grow Deeper in Your Prophetic Accuracy among others, how did you get the inspiration?
*PROPHET ONOME: Currently, we have over 25 books on the Prophetic and Ministry related topics. They are all written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and from my personal labours in doctrine, in bringing balanced doctrinal revelations as it relates to the Prophetic and ministry in general.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME WITH OTHER GRADUATES OF THE PROPHETIC INSTITUTE:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: How old is your prophetic ministry and are there plans in place to take your ministration of your global outreach extended into Europe, America and uttermost end of the world?
*PROPHET ONOME: The Prophetic Institute turns 11 this year and already have physical presence in 16 African nations. As more persons keep placing demands from Europe and America, we will keep expanding the mission to the ends of the earth.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME TEACHING THE PROPHETIC MESSAGES:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: What is your ministry’s projection to take your divine calling to the remotest parts of Nigeria as a missionary
*PROPHET ONOME: We submit entirely to the leading of the Holy Spirit and so we have no personal projections. As the Lord leads, we take it one step at a time.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME RECEIVED IN LIBERIA:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Can you recall the first time you stood on the Altar to minister and engaged the Holy Spirit in deliverance service?
*PROPHET ONOME: The first would be in 2004. It was an experience that stirred up my zeal to do more for the Lord.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME TEACHING THE PROPHETIC MESSAGES:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: How can a believer, as in a genuine child of God engage the ministry of Angels to help carry God’s divine instructions daily?
*PROPHET ONOME: The first step is to give yourself to spiritual activities like praying in tongues regularly and fasting so as to increase your level of spiritual sensitivity and discernment because the ministry of angels requires a high level of sensitivity to work with them. Then of course, the place of faith as you release words as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: The scriptures say in Proverbs 29:2 that: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”. What is the prophetic plan of God for Nigeria?
*PROPHET ONOME: Nigeria is a nation that carries the torch of the gospel and revival to the nations. God is very interested in Nigeria. I strongly believe that Nigeria will rise above her current challenges and God will keep raising a new breed of leaders like David will do His will and counsel over the nation.

*PICTURE: DR ONOME IN IMPARTATION MINISTRATION:
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: The Holy Bible in Genesis 18:17, the Lord asks, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?” What is the position of God on Nigeria 2027 Presidential Election?
*PROPHET ONOME: As much as I do not speak on political matters unless I am instructed to do so by the Lord as a prophet, I can only speak as commanded. But as a Nigerian, my prayer is for God to root out corrupt leaders and put in authority those who have the genuine interest of the nation at heart. I also strongly believe that as a nation, we need a lot of reforms in our current political framework.
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: What is your message to the majority of the people who are crying to the Lord daily for economic survival?
*PROPHET ONOME: Keep your eyes on the Lord. open your heart to His guidance on what you need to do so you can create an opportunity for His blessings to rest upon you, Psalms 1:3.
*NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Finally, tell us a bit about Prophet Onome, and words of advice for millions of Nigerians in the Diaspora who are looking up to God through you for a revival of their walk with the Lord in this end time
*PROPHET ONOME: I am a lover of God. I am a student of the scriptures and believe the word of God is the standard for true Prophetic ministry. My word of advice to everyone being inspired by my ministry is to build a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide them in their daily decision; this is the will of God for every believer in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:14
