THE EMERGENCY, latest blockbuster movie released globally into international market by Nigeria’s Nollywood and Ghanaian actors last month was obviously produced to set fear in the hearts of Africans, bring pains in the minds of parents’ of the Chibok girls abducted by the notorious Islamic fanatics, Boko Haram and bring opprobrium to Nigerian government’s fight against this terrorist group terrorizing Africa.
This movie, a-3 hour non-stop violence, brings you to the edge, as staccato of guns rules the air, brigandage being carried out by the members of this Sect and several scenes of tears, rape and lawlessness reigns supreme.
While vetting this movie, our correspondent saw how this Satanic sect, killed security guards of Chibok schools, captured over 200 girls and forcefully pushed them into two-long waiting trucks, even while these girls were crying and begging for help.
The movie revealed all the atrocities these school girls were made to suffer including sex slavery, forceful marriages, dehumanization, torture, claiming they are already making global headlines in their notoriety.
Naija Standard can tell you that this movie gave a deep insight into how this blood-thirsty terrorists acquire their ammunition, how their political god-fathers secretly hands out huge funds to them.
Highpoint of this movie are the revelations of how top military men, especially intelligent officers in government make classified information available to these criminals and further reveal to them about attacking plans of the government against the insurgent, which obviously allow them enough time to prepare for counter-attack. Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram was played by Sylvester Mmadu and he said “We’ll not attacking the people, abducting them, touring the kidnapped girls; bombing everywhere and causing confusion until our demands are met.”
Without doubt, this movie has ridiculed the on-going efforts of Nigerian Government in their efforts to fight terrorism and brought shame to Nigeria, Africa.
Attempts made to speak with this movie producer was unsuccessful, as sources close to him said “We are not aware that this movie is creating bad image for Africa Overseas.”
Naija Standard editorial board members are unanimously calling on the governments of Nigeria, Ghana through their various national video censors board to vet this video, summon the producer and major actors in this film for questioning on why they had to put up a film like this to rubbish African continent in the eyes of international community?
