THE wheel of justice has surely come a full circle, as judgement is now gradually knocking on the door of a Nigerian man, Soyemi Adesola Olaniyi, a Green Card holder living and working earlier in the United States as a correction officer at an Indiana prison. He has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual relations with male inmates. And the U.S State Department has allegedly cancelled his Green Card, having violated multiple federal laws, seen as a danger to society and threat to national security.
If convicted, he is facing over 30 years in jail or life imprisonment and to be deported at the end of his prison terms.
According to U.S. authorities, Olaniyi was taken into custody in September 2025 in Putnam County, Indiana, following an investigation into allegations of misconduct.
He was arrested by the Indiana Department of Corrections. Court records show that Olaniyi faces multiple charges, including Sexual Misconduct (35-44.1-3-10(b), Official Misconduct (35-44.1-1-1(1)) and Possession of Marijuana (35-48-4-11(a)(1))
The arrest has raised serious concerns about the safety and welfare of inmates within the correctional facility.
Officials say investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of Olaniyi’s alleged actions and whether additional charges may follow.
As of the publication of this article, Indiana prison authorities are yet issue a detailed public statement on the case, but sources indicate the incident has prompted an internal review of staff conduct and security procedures.

Meanwhile, Olaniyi has been transferred into the custody of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and he was supposed to be brought before a judge late last month, February, but delayed as the victims (male inmates) he associated with inside the prison are already giving vital information to federal agents.
Sources close to the suspect alleged he has not stopped blaming Satan for the temptation being that he was frustrated with the American stressful, working system round the clock, had to take Marijuana to ‘get high’ and later fell into temptation of sodomy.
