OBVIOUSLY very passionate about his affection for Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retired), a former Nigeria’s Military Head of State have chosen to speak up on his LOVE for the country’s sustainable, economic growth and douse the controversy trailing President Muhammadu Buhari’s interview on Financial Times of United Kingdom where he tagged ‘lazy, economic saboteurs and asylum seeking Nigerians Abroad criminals.’
Expressing his views using his Twitter handle @General_IBB on February 10, the ‘Evil-genius’, as fondly called for his Machiavellian principles in global circles did not mince words in openly showing his love for Nigeria, where he boasts he can lay down his life by way of a Martyr.
IBB emphasized that not all Nigerians are criminals under a hashtag #NigeriansAreNotCriminals, as he fully support the on-going fight against corruption. He said this is the more reason he believes majority of Nigerians resident either home or Abroad are very hardworking people, daily bringing glory to the nation in their various careers, thereby fault the alleged, misconstrued blanket statement by the incumbent president in the Financial Times interview.
Also, this gap-tooth Army General picked holes in a daily habit where Nigerian politicians visit Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power solely just to feed their voracious appetite and glutton habit by consuming all the various food always prepared by domestic staff in the Villa. He advised Buhari to review Aso Rock food budget.
IBB concluded by saying he still have one bullet hidden in his body ever since he left power as Nigeria’s Head of State from August 27, 1985 to August 27, 1993. His words (unedited): “I strongly believe our Politicians are well fed. The Aso Rock food budget should be reviewed. Aso Rock is not a place to feed Politicians. I still carry a bullet in my body, I can die for my country. I respect the fight against corruption, but all #NigeriansAreNotCriminals.”
