BATTLE for the soul of Nigeria has begun between Nigerian military and fighters of Jamā’a Ahl al-sunnah li-da’wa wa al-jihād, better known in Arabic as جماعة اهل السنة للدعوة والجهاد in three states in Africa’s most populous nation, namely: Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. Much as Nigerian military officers are not leaving any stone unturned in hunting for this Islamic Sect’s faithful, the notorious militants have allegedly received support from Niger Republic insurgents who under the cover of darkness entered Nigeria before the Federal Government declaration of ‘State of Emergency’ and shipped in ‘dangerous weapons, several bomb-making devices and explosives early last week. In Borno State, where this war is on-going and fiercest, these group of militants are hiding in Maiduguri in ‘make-shifts’ buildings.
Nigerian Soldiers Kill 10 in Borno State, 10 in Yobe, Adamawa States
Naija Standard investigation in Borno State confirmed that as Nigerian military further strikes in various hideouts of Boko Haram, 10 of these terrorists were killed while others went into hiding in some uncompleted buildings and mountains in Maiduguri; while re-strategizing how to ‘tame and attack’. Nigerian troops raided parts of a game reserve in Borno state where the Boko Haram group has established bases. The raids came after states of emergency were declared in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa north-eastern states, where some 2,000 people have died since Boko Haram launched an insurgency in 2009. So far, other 10 militants have fallen into the bullets of Nigerian soldiers in Yobe and Adamawa States. The soldiers raided “terrorist camps” in the Sambisa Game Reserve, a 500 sq km (200 sq mile) savannah in Borno that is known to be a haven for Boko Haram militants.
These mountains, hills in Maiduguri serve as hideouts for this ‘blood-thirsty’ Islamic Sect, away from the prying eyes of Nigeria’s security operatives and the passers-by. Chad insurgents, Naija Standard learnt were called in to counter and frustrate moves by Nigerian military to attack and render the Boko Haram members ineffective.
Set to blow up Soldiers homes’ & military institutions in Borno State
Further plans already hatched by the sect is to blow up homes of soldiers and military commands in Borno State by creating heavy fear in the people. Intelligence reports by Naija Standard showed that these evil plans would be carried out in matter of weeks from now.
Secret Plots to ‘poison’ Nigeria’s President Exposed
Our Correspondents undercover reports revealed a clandestine move being made by apathy-supporters of Boko Haram Sect, who are mainly Northern politicians interested in running for the 2015 Presidential Elections concluded plans to use the ‘influence’ Kitchen cabinet staff in Aso Rock after paying them handsomely to allegedly ‘poison’ Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s president if he insists on implementing his intention by running for the presidency in 2015. This is believed among these politicians as ‘Option B’ and last resort to clear Jonathan from the road to 2015 presidency.
Why Jonathan should Sack ‘Villa’ Kitchen Staff
Naija Standard wishes to urgently advise Jonathan to ‘fire’ his Aso Rock kitchen staff as many of them are already set to allegedly collect this princely sums of money to ‘trade-him-out’ by poisoning him. He should take this drastic action for the purpose of his own safety, members of his immediate family and national security of the nation.
Some Presidential Candidates consult Spiritualists for poll’s victory
Information at our disposal confirmed that very desperate Northern politicians eyeing Aso Rock in 2015 are said to have consulted the services of Marabouts, magicians and herbalists from North Africa to ensuring that the needful has to be done in weakening Jonathan’s resolve to return to contest this election so that he would not return to the Villa. Mass Migration of Nigerian Youths to Ghana, UK & Europe for Safety
Due to the un-ending insecurity in the nation, Naija Standard learnt that there is an increase rate and passionate desire by thousands of Nigerian youths in relocating to countries like Ghana, United Kingdom and Europe for their own safety. Many of them found by our correspondents on queue at various foreign embassies were there with their family members. This is not good for Nigeria because the youths of any nation are the pillars of that nation for growth and developments.
‘Nigeria’s 2015 Presidency must be in North’-Northern Elders
For the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), they reportedly said power must return to the North in 2015, warning governors in the zone to cue behind the power-for-North struggle or see themselves as anti-North. Accordingly, these elders also threatened to take the Federal Government to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the killings of civilians in the recent Baga carnage if the security forces deployed to the area were found culpable of mass killing by a set of lawyers constituted by the forum to probe the incident.
Malam Maitaima Sule, Dan Mansaini Kano, Chairman of this forum reportedly said during a meeting in Maiduguri with Borno Elders and after its visit to the governor of the state, Kashim Shettima, that though the northerners threw away the presidency few years ago by some political errors, adding that elders in the North had decided that it was time to return the presidency to the region.
His words: “We are not happy that the North is not playing active role in the present day. That is why we decided to bring together our surviving elders. We resolved that something must be done, that the North ought to do more than it currently doing now in the affairs of the country. You know the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) is a socio-cultural group but in the current situation now in this country, we need more than a socio-cultural group to address our challenge and that is why we came with the formation of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF).
“Our group believes that any discussion that will not bring back power to the North in 2015 is not in the interest of the North and its people,” the forum chairman who was represented by Prof. Ango Abdullahi, former vice chancellor of Ahmadu Bello Univesrity (ABU) and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated. He said the elders had constituted two committees to examine the political future of the North vis-à-vis power rotation issue as it affected 2015 and the current insecurity in the North, adding that the elders were posed to tackle the governors of the 19 northern states over the issue.
“I was a founding member of PDP and I do know that zoning of the presidency between the North and South was agreed but (former president) Obasanjo came and decided to deal with the North. We knew then it will take a huge effort to address this challenge but if we stand firm and with dedication, the North can stand again. The Northern Elders Forum has no political party, no candidate but our party is the people of the North. We know where the lapses are but we’re going to tackle the governors of the northern states. So join us in this fight. We sensed some of the insecurity going on in the country is particularly targeted at a particular part of the country perhaps to weaken its political relevance. The Boko Haram crisis has been on for too long and we have the feeling that some people in power are just dragging it for material or pecuniary reasons. Just take a look at the security vote in this year budget and you will understand the background for our feeling and curiosity. As we went along, there is doubt to the sincerity of the leaders in managing the crisis. There is also the feeling of political undertone with this vicious campaign about 2015.
“God says Jonathan must vacate Aso Rock in 2015”–Charles Osazuwa
Warning has come the way of Nigeria’s president, Goodluck Jonathan by Apostle Charles Osazuwa, General Overseer of ‘Rock of Ages Christian Assembly’, a prophet and an endowed ‘man-of-God’ gifted with the ‘words-of-knowledge’ like late Pastor Benson Idahosa, who revealed in a clear tone that God wants Jonathan to back-out of his aspiration to contest the 2015 Presidential election, stating that Nigeria’s destiny is tied to 2015 elections.
His Spiritual Warning
In the words of Osazuwa, a man blessed with ‘gift of the season’, he said: “God showed me. He revealed to me that by 2015, Nigeria’s president, Goodluck Jonathan should not contest the presidency and should vacate Aso Rock by then. I heard God speak; he said Jonathan should back down for the peace of the country.
Nigeria’s Destiny tied to 2015 Elections
Speaking during the just concluded 13th Annual Anniversary of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Grand Praire, Texas, Osazuwa said: “Sure, I can tell you that Jonathan is under a covenant by God. He is under the grace of God and directly under God’s coverage. If he should mistakenly contest the 2015 Presidential Election, I see danger because the nation’s destiny is tied to this election.
Jonathan’s Covenant with God
Naija Standard observed according to Osazuwa message that “Jonathan had a covenant with God. He is enjoying the grace and under God’s protection. He needs to leave that place when the ovation is loudest. Don’t forget that when he was Deputy Governor, the Governor gave way. He was Deputy President, acting President and the President gave way. Now, that he is President and about to complete his tenure; no one else would give way for him. He should just leave. He that has ears, let him ears what the spirit of God is telling the church. I know several men of God are praying for him.”
