JULIUS Akindele, Assistant General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a deputy to Pastor Eunuch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer turns 70 years today, but his obvious youthful look did not match his age, as ‘God as renewed his age like an Eagle’, thereby making him agile, vibrant and full of strength.
Coinciding with ‘Father’s Day’ celebration week, several pastors of RCCG and other Christian believers in Texas were happy and eager to receive a touch of God’s anointing from this great man of God married to the eldest daughter of the founder of RCCG.
Nigerian Pastors Honor him in Grand Style
Akindele, Naija Standard observed that so humble like Adeboye, assumes no-air around him, but wears the Christ-like simplicity with every of his words punctuated with “It is well with you”.
Nigerian ordained minister of the gospel and men of God were led by the likes of Pastors Raphael Adebayo, RCCG Winners Assembly, Dallas, Texas, Benjamin Raji and others. The host was Deacon Samuel and Christy Ogbeide, in whose house Akindele prophesied that ‘The Ark of the Lord will not Depart forever’; and Pastor Daniel, a vibrant teacher of the word in charge of RCCG Fountain of Joy in Dallas.
He was never at a time tired of praying as he prayed with all his heart for everyone under his presence in calmness; yet steadily preaching the word of God.
Highpoint of the event
The very highpoint was before his birthday cake-cut, ably assisted by his wife when he prayed for a landmark success so outstanding in the 17th RCCG North American Convention, that God should keep empowering Adeboye as God has always done. He prayed for the poor and the needy.
All the invitees and everyone who were around to witness the presence of God were blessed, and were finally treated to sumptuous meals, good delicacies and recipes.
Profile of Akindele
Akindele in charge of Administration and Personnel joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1962; he was born again in 1962.As a worker he served as a chorister, Sunday School Teacher and private secretary to the founder and late General Superintendent of theMissions.
Finally Ordained Pastor
This versatile and godly man was ordained full pastor in 1981.At various times he served as National Treasurer, Secretary to the General Overseer and Director of Missions.In 1983, he became a National Elder teaching doctrines in Ondo, Edo and Delta as well as being coordinator of Ogun, Oyo and Osun States. By 1997 Convention he was appointed Assistant General Overseer for Missions. His current assignment includes radio ministry.
