NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: How do you become a Scientist in Nigeria?
Due to my Scientific discovering in Nigeria that was published in the Nation newspaper on May 2nd, 2012; and The Carbon Capture Report University of Illinois Chicago USA that was published on 24th October 2012, I was called an international budding scientist due to my Innovation called “The Thunder lightning energy converter for Africa Countries”
The Invention talks about generating constant Electricity for African countries using a Strike of Lightning Energy which can serve for five years and Thirty days (5years and 30days) per strike of the Lightning energy.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: What inspired you into going into embracing the career of a Scientist?
What inspired me going into embracing the career of a Scientist is due to the blackout and epileptic power supply that Nigeria and other Africa Countries always suffers, and this is one reason why most investors don’t want to invest in Nigeria and in some African countries leading to poverty. This was what inspired me to go into thinking of generating constant Electricity for Nigeria and Africa at large.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Can you take us through some of the breakthroughs you have had in being a Scientist?
Some of the breakthroughs I have had in being a Scientist is that I was rated fourth best Inventor amongst Top five solar energy Inventions in 2017 by Dwtv Germany. Also, I received an award as one of the 50 most influential people in Enugu State. Not forgetting the Prestigious Award of Model Personality Man of the Year by Model Path magazine in Enugu State.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Are some of your scientific projects on display Overseas? No, my scientific projects are not yet displayed Overseas but showcased across major scientific exhibitions in Africa.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: In a place like Nigeria where there is hardly a blink of electricity. How do you intend to generate electric current through Solar mechanism?
As an inventor, I have built Solar Inverters from scratch to the finish. Solar panels generate DC current which is further converted by me into electricity through the help of an inverter to power homes and shops. A lot of people have benefited from my solar energy installation.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Can you authoritatively explain to the world how much megawatt of electricity you can generate for Nigeria?
Through the aid of lightning energy, we can generate up to 50,000MW of electricity for the country and end blackouts, I promise. To do this, it’s going to be a collaborative effort which can be done by some groups of Engineers and some Specialists with me. I have the industrial plan on how we can generate constant electricity for Africa countries since 2004 to be precise through a strike of lightning.
NAIJA STANDARD NEWSPAPER: Will you be able to help the Nigerian government generate a-24-hour electricity so that artisans and local manufacturers who depend on daily earnings can depend on you?
Yes of course. I will be able to help Nigeria government generate constant electricity through lightning Energy.
FOR the records, this my energy vision started on 1st October 2004. The thunder lightning energy converter is a power generating plant that can trap a strike of lightning, harness it and convert the current from static energy to current energy for 5 years and 30 days per strike of lightning.
Thunder lightning comes with an average power of 20 billion Watts, and it also comes with an average voltage of 330Mv (Mega Volts).
Thunder Lightning occurs 140 million times per year globally. In Asian Continents, it occurs between an average period of 80million to 100million times per year.
The Thunder lightning Energy converter comprises of the following:
I – The Trapping Zone
II – The Storage/Harnessing Zone
III- The Sensing Zone
IV- The ……. Zone
V – The Transmission Zone
*The Trapping Zone: The trapping zone comprises lightning arresting with a resistance filter. It comprises of two zones: the first zone will trap a huge number of charges from the lightning and supply some of the charges to the second zone.
– The second zone will filter a maximum of 5Mv and supply the current to the harnessing zone. The harnessing zone will store the current for 8828 hours which is a year and seven days but there are going to be five storage zones which will be capable of storing the current for 5years and 30days. Then through the help of the Sensing zone, it will discharge 1Mv from the storage or harnessing zone and dissipate the current to the ……. zone, which I will not talk about.
The 1Mv charge will then be distributed to the transmission zone which is made up of 5 high tension step-down transformers.
The first high tension step-down transformer will step down from 1Mv to whatever the country needs but I suggest that we step down from 1Mv to 330Kv then the second high tension transformer will step down from 330Kv to132Kv. The third high tension transformer will step down from 132Kv to 33Kv then the fourth high tension transformer will step down the 33Kv volts to 11Kv then the fifth high tension transformer will step down the 11Kv to 415V.
First, the high-tension step-down transformer current can be distributed to NATIONAL Grid.
I intend to achieve this African invention through the help of the federal government, private individuals, international bodies, and working with like-minded people.

Who is Scientist Emmanuel Imafidon Obayagbona? He is a graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu State where he studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering power option. He served his Fatherland in Ebonyi State Abakaliki under ministry of power between 2018 to 2019.
He does his Nursery and primary school in DSC model nursery and primary school. Then he attended secondary school at Challenge Academy secondary school at DSC steel town one Ovwian Aladija in Warri, Delta state. While in secondary school, he was given a scholarship throughout his secondary school due to his scientific invention prowess.
He is a Nigerian Inventor and He’s also known as Scientist Emma, currently single from the family of Mr. and Mrs. Henry U. Obayagbona.
He is from Edo State Benin City. He was born and bred in Delta State Nigeria, He is currently living in Ebonyi State Abakaliki Nigeria.
