A leading business and creative industry in Nigeria’s economic hub, NMO Management Limited has scored another first in taking investment, trade and further creating opportunities for small medium entrepreneurs, SMEs in a bid to develop capacity building programme on export readiness. This was done by partnering the Lagos State Government., as SMEs creative, successful registration and acknowledgements are on-going.
NMO Management Ltd in partnership with Lagos State Ministry Commerce Cooperatives Trade and Investment (CCT& I) has provided nominations of SMEs/Creatives for Capacity-Building Programme on Export Readiness.
Submissions of SMEs /Creatives for Capacity-Building Programme on Export Readiness ended June 1st, 2025, successful applicants are already notified, being processed at the moment.
The initiative has proven successful amongst SME Creatives and NMO Management Ltd will continue to support such laudable programs and activities supporting the wider Creative Entertainment space.
In recognition of the vital role SME’s play in the Lagos economy, the Lagos State Government is Implementing strategic initiatives (such as LASMECO scheme documented previously) to promote growth and support export – oriented entrepreneurship.
In a press statement received by the business desk of Naija Standard Newspaper Inc USA, the Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Commerce Cooperatives Trade and Investment (CCT&I ), Mrs Folashade Ambrose-Medeben in collaboration with Afreximbank has proposed to train 250 SME’s to enter new markets, navigate Trade regulations and participate in cross border trade under AFCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Area).
The objective of this initiative is designed to: Equip participants with requisite entrepreneurial knowledge and export Readiness skills for expanding their businesses, Equip beneficiaries with requisite business planning techniques and strategies, Expose participants with cutting edge methodology to improve business productivity; Foster Trade networks, Improve compliance and quality standards.
Accordingly, the dynamic and growth oriented SME’S will be selected based on those who meet eligibility criteria: having their business location operates and I registered w thin Lagos State with evidence of CAC registration and mandatory proof of address.
