THINGS have fallen apart in the royal palace of Emir of Kano, with mounted tension over the second most prominent Islamic leadership tussle in the country, given to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, ousted Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria; as the face-off is daily generating into in-fighting between the lineage of Sanusi Ado Bayero and Lamido. More worrisome, is the on-going jubilation in the camp of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, which translates ‘Western Education is Sin’ in far North, Cameroon.
Boko Haram Jubilates over Choice of ex-CBN Gov in Cameroon
It was a shocking disbelief for Naija Standard as Abubakar Shekau, leader of Boko Haram’s camp hiding inside far-North mountains of Cameroon allegedly rejoice that Lamido has been chosen as the New Emir of Kano, as a source close to Narcisse Pierre, a local herbalist in Yaoundé, unknown to the security agencies in Cameroon as face behind the fetish ‘fortification’ of Nigeria’s dreaded Boko Haram Islamic sect confirmed that the villagers who are resident close to the hideouts of this Islamic Sect heard shrilling pains and screams of young girls crying the night Lamido was announced the New Emir of Kano in a kind of wild celebration.
In the words of this aide to Boko Haram witch doctor in Yaoundé, who would not want his name on print to avoid a backlash said: “There was a wild jubilation among Boko Haram members in the mountains of Cameroon, since some of the abducted girls in Chibouk already splitted into groups were been used as sex slaves by foot soldiers, many of who would not use condoms. They were high on alcoholic drinks, while only a few used condoms. The following day when Pierre visited the stronghold of Shekau, there were lots of used condoms on the floor, as the girls always prepare food for them.”
On the claims that Cameroon security forces killed many Boko Haram in a dawn raid recently, he nodded in the affirmative, claiming “Only few foot soldiers in Boko Haram were attacked, but this deadly Sect killed so many of the Cameroon soldiers. The whole noise had been media hype.”
“As a sign of peace in Kano, Boko Haram would no longer attack Kano but steps up dangerous attack in Borno, Jos, and Yobe with greater dimension of devastation,” he added.
“Measures are being taken to Protect Villages”-Cameroon Govt
There is growing concern in Cameroon that the Nigerian extremist group Boko Haram is infiltrating villages along the border. The arrest of 18 suspected members of the group has sparked wide criticism that the army is focused only on northern part of the country, and is ignoring other parts of Cameroon’s long, winding border with Nigeria.
Inhabitants of Sabongari, a small Cameroonian village that borders Nigeria’s Taraba state, reportedly said that they have been seeing strange faces in their village in the past weeks. The sightings began when Cameroon deployed troops to the north to patrol against Boko Haram.
Schoolteacher Nfor John said their local vigilante group arrested some people pretending to be food merchants and handed them to local authorities.
“People were caught moving down from this part of the country, transporting food stuff with some munitions. I mean, this is enough sign to make the government sit up. These are very dangerous signs for the authorities,” said John.
Witnesses began reporting possible Boko Haram activity in northern Cameroon last year, as Nigeria’s military launched an offensive aimed at crushing the Islamist militant group.
Tawe Cletus, a trader at Abongshe, another village on the border with Taraba, said the porousness of the border and the departure of the military to North Cameroon has exposed them to Boko Haram.
“There are other parts of the country that share a common border with Nigeria which the government is letting loose. And if Boko Haram sees that the government is paying attention to a particular region, they can infiltrate. The enemy who does not want you to identify him, of course, will use any means to infiltrate,” Cletus stated.
Ngalla Elvis, who lives in the village of Loor, said local residents are scared the government has left them unprotected. “We are afraid. Ndonga Mantung people are afraid of Boko Haram. Cameroon government is supposed to be more pre-emptive and proactive than being reactive. They are deploying 3,000 soldiers to the north where Boko Haram has indicated its presence and forgetting about the other borders where Boko Haram has not yet signaled. I am talking about physical presence of military officers with ammunition that can actually demonstrate to the Boko Haram people that we are present,” said Elvis.
Government official Ayeni Derek was dispatched by Cameroon’s government to reassure citizens, that measures are being taken to protect the villages. He said the government is also reminding people to help by pointing out any suspicious activity.

Emir of Kano Palace Shut Down
It was a smart move embarked upon by Kano State Government as the Palace of the Emir of Kano is temporarily under lock and key. Investigations by Naija Standard showed that the administration of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwanso is doing all it can to bring peace to the ‘warring royal lineage’ over the choice of leadership for the Kano Emirate Council, so that the Ado Bayero and Lamido families can live in harmony, after which the Palace of the Emir would be opened for the ex-CBN Governor chosen by the Kingmakers.
Under Radar: Intelligence Reports analyzing link of Lamido’s undergraduate days in Sudan to Al-Qaeda
Naija Standard gathered that there is an on-going covert intelligence reports by Allied forces in conjunction with the Nigerian Army analyzing if there is a ‘link’ between the New Emir of Kano, Lamido and the Al-Qaeda movement in Sudan where the ex-CBN Governor studied Sharia Law and Islamic Studies at The International University of Africa (Arabic: جامعة افريقيا العالمية) is a public University in Khartoum, Sudan. It is a member of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World. The university has faculties of Education and Humanities, Shariah and Islamic Studies and of Pure and Applied Sciences.
The university has its origins in the Islamic African Centre, established in Khartoum in 1977. In 1992 the military government of Colonel Omar al-Bashir upgraded the institute to a university. Although the word “Islamic” was dropped from the title, Islamic studies are an important part of the curriculum. The university has been active in Islamic higher education in sub-Saharan Africa since it was created.
It was alleged that while Lamido was an undergraduate then, late Osama Bin Laden, founder of Al-Qaeda was a resident in Sudan for 5 years, with so much passion for guerrilla warfare.
“Sanusi Lamido was best CBN Gov in Nigeria’s History”-Ismail, top Nigeria’s Economist in UAE
Ismail Rilwan, a top Nigerian Economist and Chattered Accountant in United Arab Emirates (UAE) exclusively told Naija Standard Editors that “Lamido Sanusi was the best CBN Governor Nigeria ever had. His words: “In August 2009, the Sanusi led the Central Bank to “rescue” Afribank, Intercontinental Bank, Union Bank, Oceanic Bank and Finbank by bailing them out with 400 billion naira of public money, and dismissed their chief executives. Some point to other factors including religious, ethnic and existing bank records and plans to say he in fact had a hidden agenda. He ensured he had to move in to send a strong signal that such recklessness on the part of bank executives will no longer be tolerated. He made sure 16 senior bank officials faced charges that included fraud, lending to fake companies, giving loans to companies they had a personal interest in and conspiring with stockbrokers to boost share prices, and today he has been appointed as the Emir of Kano by Gov. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano following the departure of Alh. Ado Bayero. This is the will of Almighty Allah.”
