IN a nation of over 230 million people, imbued with immense human and mineral resources by the creator, most homes in Nigeria cannot boast of a three-square meal a day, stable electricity supply and the bulk of the masses go to bed hungry on empty stomach wondering why they have to face these difficulties and realities with no end in sight in Africa’s most populous black nation. From housing, to having a good paying job, surviving the harsh economy, the present unpleasant situation in the country makes people wonder aloud: “how did we get here as a nation?”. A famous philosopher, Roy T. Bennett, in his Inspirational Thoughts for Living Your Best Life documentary titled ‘The Light in the Heart’ gave an insight when he said: “Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and never last forever.” As such, the political machinery of African Democratic Congress, ADC, a major opposition party in Nigeria is well positioned, came readily to offer meaningful life for the people as led by Nigeria’s former Vice President, and Presidential Candidate of the ADC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, with his appointment of ex-Nigeria’s Transport Minister, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, a highly educated Royal Price of Sokoto Caliphate and high chief ‘Dan Amar Sokoto’ as Director General, Administration, Finance & Logistics for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council in the 2027 election.
Based on each political party manifestos in Nigeria, feedbacks from many quarters confirm as at today, it is ONLY the ADC that profoundly understands the pain and suffering of the general populace, and it is ready to put an end to it by offering humane, quality amenities for the masses. For this reason, Suleiman appointment in this role is timely to ensure data analysis driven administrative, seamless financial policy and detailed logistics operations ahead in 2027 elections.
In a press statement thoroughly vetted by Atiku, signed by Phrank Shaibu, Director, Strategic Communication, ADC Presidential Campaign Council & Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, Vice President of Nigeria 1999-2007 & Presidential Candidate of the ADC in a bid to maintain people-driven policies in realities to the overwhelming challenges Nigerians are facing daily, he approved the much-awaited campaign structure to confront headlong the perennial high cost of food prices, transport costs and shrinking incomes, by asking for the masses’ trust in a disciplinary manner.
The statement reads that Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will chair the Council, with Nasir El-Rufai as Deputy Chairman. Senator Austin Akobundu will serve as Director-General and Campaign Manager, responsible for turning strategy into coordinated action.
Meanwhile, Six Deputy Directors-General will lead the operational directorates, working with 30 Directors assigned specific responsibilities. Yusuf Suleiman, Heads Administration, Finance & Logistics while Dele Momodu will head Media and Communications, and Senator Dino Melaye will lead Contact and Mobilisation.
Mohammed Hayatudeen will chair the Policy Team, working with Professor Mohammed Sagagi and other members, including Professor Kingsley Moghalu, to develop practical answers to the problems Nigerians have put before us. John Oyegun will chair the Campaign Advisory Board.
Phrank stated that “This is a structure built for work. Every directorate has a duty. Every director has an assignment. Every appointee must account for results.
Our measure of success will be how clearly, we address the cost of living, unemployment, insecurity and declining purchasing power-and how effectively we organise to make Nigeria affordable again.”

Suleiman holds a BSc degree in business administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1986) and MBA (1989) from the same university. He attended the Harvard University Flagship course on privatization, the public Enterprises management program in 1995. He was also at the Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Development program in (2002), Harvard University Kennedy School’s senior managers in Government Program (2001), University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business program on managing critical resources (2002), Cambridge Academy of Transport Shipping Insurance Course (2002), Kellogg Graduate school of Management Certificate in the soul of Leadership Program (2003).
